The Stamp Review Crew - Piece of Cake Edition

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2019/04/poc.html

Welcome to the third Monday of the month and another Stamp Review Crew hop! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. Today we are featuring Piece of Cake, a fun 21 piece photopolymer set that has a coordinating Cake Builder punch. You may have landed here from the fabulous Kelly Kent's blog, My Papercraft Journey. She was number four on the hop, and I am fifth of eight participants. You can jump forward or backward by following the links below.

I have used this set for many birthday cards, so I thought it would be fun to do a wedding themed card this time. And, since I love shiny stuff, I just had to make it using some of the Noble Peacock Specialty DSP and Foil Sheets which I hadn't played with yet!

Sticking with a monochrome look, the cake and cake stand were stamped in Pretty Peacock ink and colored with Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends, then punched out. The flower arrangement had to be fussy-cut, but it was quick work. After everything was adhered, I added Noble Peacock Rhinestones to the cake (MORE bling!) and stamped the greeting underneath the cake stand.

The oval foil frame was cut and embossed with the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folders. Helpful hint: If you are using a Big Shot and have the magnetic platform, the 3D Embossing folder can be used without needing a shim! The "sandwich" is magnetic platform, 3D folder with cardstock inside, and ONE clear cutting pad on top. That's it! Just like the old Dynamic folders with a standard platform.

The inside of the card is dressed up as well, with a strip of Pretty Peacock foil and the flower arrangement stamped end to end so it looks like lace.

Up next is the awesome Jay Soriano, at Mitosu Crafts. I can't wait to see what he's done with this set!
