The Stamp Review Crew - First Frost

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2018/11/first-frost.html

Welcome to another edition of the Stamp Review Crew! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. You may have come from Mike's blog, Stampin' Style, or are just starting here. Either way, follow the links at the bottom to go on to the next stop, or click the banner above for the blog roll.

Today we are highlighting the versatile First Frost stamp set which is available in wood- or clear-mount (Holiday catalog, p. 37), and the coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies, both of which I am very happy to announce will be carried over when the Holiday catalog ends!

I wanted to keep my card cool and frosty (like it's been in the mornings here lately), so I chose the silvery frosty patterned paper in the Frosted Floral Specialty DSP and added a few Tranquil Tide stamped sprigs to the DSP to coordinate with the color theme.

After I had stamped and framed the greeting and popped it up on the Silver Foil die cut sprigs, I thought it needed a blossom accent. I tried a couple of stamped ones, but they were just a little too large. Then it struck me that I could fussy cut some perfect-sized blossoms from the DSP, so I layered them, and added a bit of bling to match the silver sprigs.

The inside was stamped with more sprigs, in stamped off Tranquil Tide. I haven't decided what sentiment I want to put inside yet, so it's blank. The envelope was lined with more of the silvery DSP to tie it all together!
