The Stamp Review Crew - Farmhouse Christmas

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2018/11/farmhouse-christmas.html

Welcome to another edition of the Stamp Review Crew blog hop! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. For this hop we chose Farmhouse Christmas, which is part of a lovely suite on page 13 of the Holiday catalog.

The Farmhouse Christmas stamp set has coordinating Farmhouse Framelits Dies, and it all ties together beautifully with the Festive Farmhouse DSP, a trio pack of twine, striped burlap ribbon, buttons, wood elements, and the Corrugated Dynamic embossing folder.

I thought it would be fun to do something other than a Christmas theme, so I went with cool colors. This card could be used for Thanksgiving, or a welcome to the neighborhood, or just we miss you and are thinking about you! I have to tell you, I was soooo tempted to add some snowflakes, but I resisted. Stay focused, Cindy!

The card base has a Subtle-embossed panel to which the Pool Party corrugated piece is adhered. One can never have too much texture, as far as I'm concerned! The farmhouse and tree were stamped with Gray Granite ink, then colored with the Stampin' Blends colors listed in the products below.

After cutting them with the matching dies, the tree was glued to the embossed Pool Party cardstock, and the farmhouse was popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals. The greeting was stamped in Early Espresso in and die cut with the smallest Bunch of Banners Framelit and was also popped up on dimensionals.

Since I didn't use the Festive Farmhouse DSP, I chose the large polka dot patterned Pool Party from the Subtles DSP pack for the envelope liner. I was going to use the striped pattern to mimic the corrugation, but the dots looked way cuter!

The inside was dressed up with a stamped tree and a narrow strip of leftover DSP. I think the sentiment is neutral enough that it doesn't HAVE to be for Christmas.
