Tutti-Frutti Cake Soirée

I love free stuff, don't you? That's one of the reasons I love when Sale-A-Bration comes around, because, well....FREE STUFF! One of the freebies I got was the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes on pg. 14 of the SAB brochure. You get sixteen pre-printed card bases with matching envelopes (four each of 4 designs), which makes whipping a card up EASY! Even though it was made to coordinate with the Fruit Basket Suite, it works just as well for any other stamp set, as I did here with the Cake Soirée set.

This couldn't have been much simpler. I stamped open blossoms and sprigs on the card base with Basic Black Archival ink, and then the gift box and greeting on the white cardstock. After coloring the gift box with blender pens, some Lemon Lime Twist mini striped ribbon was added. An offset layer of black was adhered beneath it, and then the whole thing was adhered to the card base.

See the mini pearls (hey, I remember her!) added randomly on the sprigs? Those were colored with the Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Marker. Sadly, those tiny pearls are no longer available. I wish Stampin' Up! would bring them back. I use these WAY more than the largest size pearls.
