Stamp Review Crew - Festive Foliage

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Festive Foliage edition! The design team is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the globe who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Nikki's blog, My Sandbox, welcome! Weren't her projects fab?! There are only three of us today, so the hop won't take long, but I hope it still brings you inspiration for this stamp!

Festive Foliage is a cling stamp and makes a great background (~4" x 5-1/4"), showing off other images or greetings. I seriously considered using a few images, but ultimately wanted to showcase just the background with some greetings and embellishments.

The first card is heat embossed with gold on Very Vanilla. I could have gone with so many other colors, but thought Cherry Cobbler for the card base and (Heartfelt Wishes) greeting looked so rich!

After adhering the embossed piece on a gold mat and onto the card base, I stamped the greeting and added another gold mat behind it. Then a few Gold Holly Leaves and Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestones completed it. Simple, yet elegant!

The next card is also heat embossed; this time white on Night of Navy. The silver Metallic Mesh ribbon looks so pretty against the dark blue!

I heat embossed the (Time of Giving) greeting in silver, then cut it out with a Tailor Made Tags die. A little silver mesh bow and some rhinestones added a bit more glitz. Again, simple but pretty!

Last is a stamped (Soft Succulent ink on Soft Succulent cardstock) background with some light shading added with light and dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends.

The greeting (Holly Jolly Wishes) was stamped in Evening Evergreen and die cut, then Soft Succulent shading was added around the edge with a Blending Brush. The scalloped E.E. mat was cut out of the mat behind the stamped background, saving a little cardstock. The supply chain is so crazy right now I'm trying to be more careful! Some silver Simply Elegant Trim and a few 2021-2023 Evening Evergreen In Color Jewels finished the card. This one was super simple and could easily be mass produced if you didn't take the time to color the background.

NOTE: The greetings are all from stamp sets that are retiring Jan. 3rd, so if you want them, now is the time to get them!

Stamp Review Crew - Whimsical Trees

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Whimsical Trees edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop today since it's the fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mike's blog, Stampin-Style, welcome! There are seven of us today, and I can't wait to see what everyone made with my favorite set from the Jul-Dec mini catalog!

Whimsical Trees is a 10 piece cling stamp set, and it coordinates with the 13 piece Christmas Trees Dies. It's all part of the Whimsy & Wonder Suite on page 25 and, sadly, it is not going to carry over. So if you want it, you better grab it while you can!

I had so many ideas and came up with four cards, but one of them didn't quite make the cut. It seemed like a good idea in my head, but turned out really blah. Sooo, I have three cards to share today. The first one focuses mainly on the dies, and I paired it with the beautiful Peaceful Place Specialty DSP.

Winter days can be gray and gloomy, so I kept the color palette gray, but not gloomy! I added a pop of red with the greeting and ribbon.

The Real Red Sheer Ribbon can be trimmed down to just the narrow strips on each edge to make tiny bows!

The next card features Christmas trees stamped and heat embossed and wrapped with gold cord.

The main tree in front was stamped with Evening Evergreen, then a Blender Pen was used to smear some of the color around. The ornaments were heat embossed in gold and a Gold Metallic Specialty Paper star was added.

The other trees were stamped in Soft Succulent and adhered to the Ornate Layers die cut. A bit more gold metallic paper was tucked behind, and a few of the extra stars were added as well.

The last card I think is my favorite. The evergreens were stamped with (what else?) Evening Evergreen with some stamped off and some full strength. The blue sky was added with a Blending Brush and Misty Moonlight ink, very lightly buffed on.

The white heat embossed "snow" was actually the ornament stamp! I thought it looked great with the tree images that looked like snow is falling in front of them.

After stamping, coloring and die cutting the holly, I stamped and fussy cut the greeting and popped them all up over a vellum label from the Seasonal Labels Dies. A silver cord bow completed the card.

That's all I have for today for today, so click NEXT to see what Charlet at Painted Orange has made! Or you can go back and check out Mike's projects if you are so inclined. *grin*
