CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF880

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge CASE is on page 89 of the Stampin' Up 2025-2026 annual catalog. The Strawberry Slush DSP used on the CASE card made me think of strawberry slushies, which led me to cherry limeade (favorite Sonic beverage), which led me to making this card!

The tall cool beverage, which could possibly include fermented agave if it was in my house 😁, was colored with Strawberry Slush Stampin' Blends, and the shorter limeade drinks (which definitely have fermented agave, lol) were colored with Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends. Strawberries and cherry are Real Red.

After coloring and die cutting the images, I embossed the Basic White background and matted it on Cherry Cobbler, then used dimensionals to pop it up on the Strawberry Slush DSP. The drinks are popped up on dimensionals, too, as is one of the strawberries.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Sepia Tones

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is sepia tones, shades of beige and tan. For this card I used the Sunrise Sailing bundle, which includes a photopolymer stamp set, dies, and a hybrid embossing folder. I thought the sepia tones felt like old photos, so I "aged" the edge of the watercolor paper.

The sailboat was stamped in Saddle Brown StazOn and painted with Basic Beige (sails), Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie.

The embossed background is all Pecan Pie water color washed, and the birds are highlighted with an Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil. Greeting is stamped in Pecan Pie on Basic Beige and fussy cut.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF879

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge inspiration is the card on page 132 of the annual catalog. I love the emboss resist technique, but I kept it super simple by using the Irresistible Designs Specialty DSP. No need to break out the embossing powder and Heat Tool!

A Blending Brush was used to add Petunia Pop to the Irresistible Designs paper, which was then matted on Berry Burst and affixed to the Petunia Pop card base.

The Mossy Meadow leaves, and Tuxedo Black Memento greeting were stamped and die cut with a Party Banners die, then embossed with the Mini Corrugated folder* and popped up on dimensionals.

The floral image was stamped and colored, then die cut and also popped up. A linen thread bow completed the CASE.

Measurements

  • Card base: Petunia Pop 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored/folded at 4-1/4"
  • Mat: Berry Burst 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
  • Emboss resist: Irresistible Designs 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Banner: Basic White 2-9/16" x 3-5/16" (fifth smallest banner die)

* At the time this card was made, the folder was still available. Sadly, it is now retired.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Metallica

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop feature is metallics. I was dying to try the new Sunflower 3D embossing folder and thought this might be a fun use for it. But holy heck, I had no idea how difficult it would be to get a decent photo! I'm sure the professional photographers know all the tricks, but I sure don't! So please excuse the less than stellar pictures. 😕

I used the bright copper sheet in the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper and embossed it with the sunflower folder. Wowee, is it ever gorgeous! To make the details stand out a little better and add an antiqued look, I rubbed the Staz-On Jet Black ink pad all over it.

After it was dry, I tied the ribbon around it in a faux bow and matted it on Peach Pie, then adhered it to the card base. The greeting is popped up on dimensionals. This card was so shiny, it didn't need any added bling!

Measurements
  • Card base: Basic Black 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored/folded at 4-1/4"
  • Mat: Peach Pie 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Embossed metallic: Bright Copper 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"
