This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a color challenge. I needed a birthday card for our awesome son in law, so this is what I came up with, using these colors:
On a Basic White Thick card base is layered Azure Afternoon (3 15/16" x 5 3/16"), topped by Gray Granite (3 3/4" x 5"), which was embossed with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder that will be available in the Jan-Apr mini catalog.
The Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly cardstock were die cut with a Spotlight on Nature die. The blue one was glued down and the yellow popped up. The birds from Winterly Tree Tops were colored with Gray Granite and Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends. I have no idea what kind of birds they are, I just went with the colors, lol. The (berries? buckeyes?) and the branch they're sitting on were colored with Pecan Pie, and Medium Light and Deep Combos.
All it needed was a greeting, which was in the Something Fancy bundle. I like this card a lot! It's not too plain, and not too frou frou for a guy. 👍
