CSF Saturday Hop - Latch Cards

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is one of my favorite fun folds - Latch Cards! For this project I made a gate fold latch card using the Labeled With Love stamp set and the bright and colorful Full of Life DSP. It was so easy to pick colors from the designer paper to accent the card.

I started with 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" Basic White Thick cardstock, scored at 4 1/4" to form an A2 card base. The latch flap is BWT cardstock 3 1/4" x 3 1/2", scored at 2 3/4" which leaves a 1/2" flap to adhere. Fold on the scoreline and adhere to the right side of the card base. Cut DSP 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere inside covering the adhered part of the flap.

Use the leftover 2" DSP strip (cut to 5 1/4" length) for the outer flap. Emboss a 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" piece of cardstock and adhere to the gate flap. Cut white cardstock with the largest and second largest Nested Essentials rounded rectangles. Adhere the larger one inside the card, hidden under the gate flap.

Decorate the other piece as desired and adhere to the left card front with dimensionals, making sure to leave room for the gate to latch under it.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.
