Today's Featured Designer CASE is Lori De Groot. I'm having so much fun browsing my fellow design team members' blogs, but they are all so talented it's hard to pick ONE card to CASE! I decided since I'm in Christmas card-making mode that is one would be perfect, both in layout and colors used - Merry Merlot, Petal Pink, Shaded Spruce, and Very Vanilla. Isn't it gorgeous?
Here is my take on her card, using the Cottage Wreaths bundle.
I really liked her Hive 3D embossed background but didn't think it was quite right for a Christmas card, so I used the Wintry 3D folder and embossed half of the Very Vanilla, then rotated the cardstock and embossed the other half. I thought I might have to cover the "seam" with ribbon, but you can hardly tell where the seam is!
Naturally, I had to add a little shiny stuff, so the ribbon and pearls did the trick.
That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.
