Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is the Parakeet Party/Tahitian Tide color combination. This is such a great pairing of the cool tropical blue of Tahitian Tide with the brilliant green of Parakeet Party. I know not many flowers sport this hue, but I couldn't resist using the Cottage Rose bundle ... just so I could color that awesome blossom!
I had to chuckle as I was coloring the leaves, though. The gardener in me kept saying "Sure looks like a case of chlorosis; they need a dose of iron!" 😆
If you look closely, you might see the Wink of Stella on the petals below. Bling, but not too blingy. (Click pic for a close-up.)
All the patterns in the new 6" x 6" DSP color collections are gorgeous, and I used two of them here. The floral print tag behind the flower was cut with a Designer Tags die. It's a stand alone die set (page 170) that is going to see a lot of use from me. 💙
