Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Timeless Tulips edition! Timeless Tulips (page 43 in the mini catalog) is a beautiful 15 piece photopolymer set with a very nice variety of greetings included. It coordinates with the Tulip Builder punch, and can be purchased as a bundle to save 10%. I just checked inventory and the bundle and punch are on the low inventory list. Given the current uncertainty of receiving goods shipped from overseas manufacturers, I'd say get it while you can!
I have three cards for you today, so let's start with the happy Spring one! My daughter's favorite flower is tulips, and she was so looking forward to going to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Washington state where she lives. Sadly, that won't be happening this year, so I hope this card cheers her up a little.
The tulips are stamped in Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Melon Mambo. I used a little of the Granny Apple Green print from the Pleased As Punch DSP behind the stamped greeting panel, and behind that a Scripty embossed background. Some Gorgeous Grape Rhinestones (Noble Peacock Rhinestones) added a bit of sparkle.
This next CAS card uses the print from both sides of the Pleased As Punch DSP. A simple stamped/punched tulip and leaf (Daffodil Delight ink on Pineapple Punch CS and Granny Apple Green ink/CS) on the Stitched So Sweetly greeting panel packs a WOW. I thought the greeting got a bit lost on the DSP so I added the larger stitched label cut from Old Olive foil (another product from the Noble Peacock suite in the annual catalog).
If you look closely, you'll see a few scattered flower sequins from the Gingham Gala Adhesive-backed Sequins.
For the last card, I wanted something a bit more subtle. I used a sponge dauber to ink the small tulip bud with Petal Pink, and did the same using Granny Apple Green for the stems and leaves. Inking with sponge daubers is a great way to soften the intensity of a color while preserving the detail of the stamped image!
It's hard to tell the color of the lacy border, but I used a scrap of the same Old Olive foil for the border. This die is from the Ornate Borders Dies, a part of the Ornate Garden Suite that will be available to you as an annual catalog early release starting April 1st. And the beautiful Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder used here is a part of it, too!
