The Stamp Review Crew - So Many Stars

Welcome to the first Monday of the month... and another Stamp Review Crew hop! Here we are almost at the end of the year and the decade! How did that happen so fast?

The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Holly's blog, The Rubber Redneck, welcome! There are only five of us for this hop.

Today we are featuring So Many Stars, a Holiday catalog photopolymer set which has a coordinating die set called Stitched Stars. I'm thrilled that the dies will be carrying over, because there is a new stamp set coming in January that uses them! You can get this as a bundle right now, and save 10%, too! But the bundle deal ends when the holiday catalog ends, so don't miss out.

The title of my favorite Christmas Carol is part of this set, so naturally I had to use it. And to make the stars shine brightly, I heat embossed them with Shimmer White Embossing Powder. They sure do shine! I wish the pictures could show you how much.

After embossing the fancy stars on Seaside Spray cardstock with the Shimmer White EP, some small, simple stars in plain white were added for filler. The main star was also embossed on Whisper White and cut with one of the dies, then popped up on dimensionals. I embossed an extra, fussy cut the center and popped it up, too.

I thought the card still needed "something", and after trying various embellishments, the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon was the winner.

That's all I have to share today. I've been super busy making FORTY birthday cards for a family member's fortieth birthday. Only three more to finish!

Up next is Lauren, at Crafty Little Peach. I can't wait to see what she did with this set!
