The Stamp Review Crew - Happy Tails & Nine Lives

Welcome to the third Monday of the month... and another Stamp Review Crew hop! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Stesha's blog, The Stampin' Hoot, welcome!

Today we are featuring Happy Tails and Nine Lives, the adorable dog and cat stamp sets with coordinating punches.

I'm doing a cat theme today. I wanted to make some cards to donate to my local animal shelter for them to use for thanking volunteers or donors. They recently received a large donation to expand their kitty quarters, yay! (Didn't want to call it a cat house, LOL.)

This first card is a tribute to my daughter and son-in-law's cat named Lucy, who recently passed away. She was a lovely Siamese cat, so I colored the image (stamped on Very Vanilla) with an Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil. I hope I captured her good looks!

There's a sneak peek at some goodies coming in the new mini catalog next month, too. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies and Coastal Weave embossing folder are going to get a LOT of use around here!

Up next is a card using the same layout. I used the second "filler" stamp to make this little guy have brown spots.

Since the hearts wouldn't have shown very well on the Soft Suede gingham background, I colored some Heart Epoxy Droplets with a Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend and used them instead.

Up next is Jay Soriano, at Mitosu Crafts. I can't wait to see what he made!
