I just wanted to take some time to wish you all a New Year blessed with contentment, good health, and lots of creativity! I find myself focusing more and more on being appreciative of all the good things in my life. I have a home that protects me from the elements, plenty of (too much!) food, a loving husband who puts up with my many idiosyncrasies, and good health.
Yes, there are things about this house that bug me, like the truly awful flooring in the kitchen and dining room, and the "Gag Me Green" paint in the bathroom, but I have a home - and too many people don't. I have shoes on my feet. I have a car - granted it has 125,000 miles on it, but it's still reliable and has taken me so many fun places!
And I have many friends that I've made through a shared love of stamping. This includes you, even if you are just a lurker on my blog. I am grateful that you spend a few precious minutes of a finite life here seeking inspiration, and appreciate each and every one of you!
So, my resolution is to stress less, smile more, and look for the good in everything. I think that's doable! This card was one of the extra My Inky Friends color challenge cards that I made, and it seemed appropriate to dedicate it to you. It's the Just Because host set coming in a couple days. Here's to a great new year!

ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel about being thankful for everything you have. I have several things coming up this year that I'm not looking forward to and hard not to stress about It. So I try to focus on the good things in my life and know that God is in control. Happy New Year to you!
