Anyhoooo, I noticed how pretty the copper looked next to the Blackberry Bliss pattern, and thought that a copper deer would be nice with a non-traditional holiday color. After cutting the deer and the gorgeous filigree corner piece (there are TWO of those corners in the die set), I got the notion to try embossing them with the Subtle Dynamic embossing folder.
Holy wow, what a difference that made!!! It is a really cool effect, but if you try it, be aware that it makes the die cut kind of curl under a bit, so handle it carefully. I tried adding a Blackberry Bliss twine bow to the deer's neck, but it didn't look right; just too rustic for this rather elegant cervid. Copper sequins were much more in keeping with his stateliness. *smile*
