My Inky Friends - A Fond Farewell

https://myinkyfriends.blogspot.com/2018/02/a-fond-farewell-blog-hop.html

It's time to say goodbye to some of our favorite stamp sets as we prepare for the new ones coming next month, so that's the theme of this My Inky Friends blog hop! It's a small hop this time since some Inky Friends had family commitments. You may have landed here from Tanya's blog where she featured Little One, or you're starting here on mine. Either way follow the links to see the stamps that are going away forever at the end of this month.

Since I was in somewhat of a CAS mood, I chose Happiest of Days. Its whimsical images are fun to work with and don't involve too much coloring. In fact, this first card was one we made in my Stamp Club this month!

It is a quick and easy card using silver heat embossing and the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends, which pick up the color of the Share What You Love Specialty DSP. You know I like combining old and new!

The second card really epitomizes the CAS style. I stamped the rose (marker-to-stamp) in Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green and then colored it with Old Olive Light and Lovely Lipstick Light Stampin' Blends.

After stamping the vine and greeting (from Thankful Thoughts which, thankfully, isn't retiring) it was embossed with the Softly Falling folder. The fussy-cut rose was then popped up on dimensionals over the Silver Metallic Thread.

Up next is Sarah who is showing No Bones About It!
