CCMC796 - Color Challenge

I love the color combination for this week's Create With Connie & Mary Thursday Challenge!

I needed to make a Thank You card for a dear friend who has gone above and beyond in helping our women's club and this was the perfect opportunity to use this color combo.

I pulled out Irresistible Blooms again (it's an Online Exclusive) and got to work. On a Misty Moonlight card base I adhered Balmy Blue Textured Shimmer Paper. The lines/dots were die cut with the coordinating die set and glued on.

The blooms were stamped in Real Red (large blossom), and Misty Moonlight (small blossom), and colored with Stampin Blends. After die cutting them, some leaves were die cut in white and all were arranged and glued together. Then the whole arrangement was popped up on dimensionals, as was the fussy cut greeting. Some Iridescent Pearls were added for some subtle shine.

Stamp Review Crew - Festive & Fun

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Festive & Fun edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Kim's blog, welcome! There are only three of us today - everyone is swamped with holiday preps, but I did manage to make "a" card between running around. 😉

Festive & Fun is an eight piece cling stamp set with the cutest animals and three sentiments. It won't be carrying over, so if you want it, better grab it while you can. It's only available while supplies last.

I've used the giraffe a couple times, and the rhino, too, but today I'm giving Mr. Moose his time to shine. When I saw he was carrying a figgy pudding, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" immediately popped in my head, so I had to use the musical notes from the Joyful Specialty DSP for the background.

I stamped, colored and fussy cut the moose. (Hadn't planned to fussy cut him, but I messed up the piece I had him on, and he was already colored, so....) And actually, it turned out better than I had planned! He was popped up on the white Nested Essentials die cut, with a little gold peeking out the side. The greeting was heat embossed and popped up, too. And, because one can never have enough gold, I added some gold sequins to finish the card.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Vanilla & Gold Christmas

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Hop theme is Vanilla & Gold Christmas. I absolutely LOVE this combination; it's so rich and elegant looking!

I chose the Merriest Trees bundle because I wanted to use as many of our gold designer papers as I could for the tree layers. After die cutting all the layers, I curled up the bottom edges before gluing them together to give a little more of a 3D look, and then popped it up on the embossed background.

It's great that we can bend the photopolymer greetings, which I did for the banner. After heat-embossing it in gold, I hand cut the banner and glued just the ends so it floats over the tree. I considered adding some gold Festive Pearls around, but I really think the tree doesn't need anything to distract from it. What do you think?
