For the Guys!

Our Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme this week is "For the Guys!" With Father's Day right around the corner, and birthdays always coming up, this is the perfect time to show the men some appreciation. You know, those guys that tolerate our stamping addiction. Yeah, those guys!

The new Beautiful World bundle is great for guy cards because there is nothing frilly or feminine about it! The entire suite is loaded with products to make masculine cards easy. It's also perfect for scrap-booking your travels!

Since there wasn't a birthday greeting in that stamp set, I borrowed one from Timeless Tropical. It seemed appropriate for our current events. *grin*

NEW Prized Peony!

This suite was on the top of my list when I saw the new Stampin' Up! catalog, but unfortunately it wasn't a preorder item. WELL..... yesterday we could order it, and you bet I overnight expedited my order! I'm making this a quick post because it's nearly bed time, but I just had to play a little with it, and show you the result.

Look at the detail in the scalloped die! DON'T look at the cat hair. He always wants love right when I'm in the middle of stuff.

Aren't these cards just beautiful? They were made with the Gorgeous Posies stamp set on page 8 of the new catalog! The simple one on the left just uses stamps, ink*, and paper, and is perfectly lovely just as it is. *Rococo Rose, Just Jade, Seaside Spray

The middle card takes it up a notch by adding a Crumb Cake card base, Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon, some Flowers For Every Season Gems, and fussy-cut flower and leaves.

And the card on the right? Well, I'm sure you can guess it's my favorite since my motto has always been "More is more!" This one uses a Scripty 3D embossed background, lots of fussy-cut flowers/leaves, gems, gold cord from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, and the greeting panel was punched with the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. So very pretty!

Ordering begins at noon, Mountain Time. Since the new catalog launched today, I need to give you a heads-up. The Stampin' Cut & Emboss machines on page 170, along with their associated items (cutting plates, etc.) are not available yet, but they should be available to order later this year. Also, there is a limit of one ink refill of each of the new In Colors, to make sure there is enough for everyone. Boy, I can't wait for things to get back to some semblance of normal. How about you?
