Heart's Delight Cards, Happiness Surrounds, Snowfall Thinlits, Stitched Labels Framelits, Hello Friend, FMS360, Stampin' Up!

Playing along with this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. They are up to number 360 now! I love that their sketches are CAS, because it makes it so easy to create a pretty card. Just pick a focal point (image) and/or greeting and some colors, and follow the "map!" This is the sketch:

Once again, I am using products from the Snowflake Showcase soon-to-be-released limited-edition products! The greeting is from the Happiness Surrounds stamp set, which includes some fun images and a variety of greetings.

Are you wondering where that lacy doily came from? It's the largest snowflake die, cut down to remove the points! I did borrow the stitched heart die from the Stitched Labels Framelits. I thought it was perfect for a friendship card.

With the exception of the card base and DSP background, this card was completely made from scraps. Organizing tip: I slit open one end of the plastic wrap that the cardstock comes in, and put most scraps back into the wrapper (tiny scraps go in the recycle bin). That way I can check to see if there's an appropriate-size scrap to use before cutting into a fresh sheet of cardstock!

Make A Difference

The Make A Difference stamp set has ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR photopolymer stamps in it! Yes, you read that right - 104 stamps that will enable you to make any greeting or sentiment your little heart desires. Because it is photopolymer, you will be able to line up the scripty letters and look like a calligraphy pro!

I love that there are double letters, too! I used the double L on the Hello sample below. Just playing around to see what I can do!

In addition to the script letters, there are also block letters, so you can combine fonts for a very trendy look. AND if you zoom in on the stamp set picture, you'll see lots of very handy ready-to-use bits, including a stamp for complying with the SU angel policy (if you sell your cards).

Anyhooo.....all that raving about all the nifty bits included, and in our stamp club last week we just used the flower sprig, LOL. But you have to admit, it was the perfect addition to the oval! The Stitched Labels Framelits made this a quick and easy card with a lot of WOW. The stitched background is one of the dies included and adds such a subtle, lovely texture. The striped banner is from the new In Colors DSP, which has two striped designs and two polka dot designs. Love it! Love that Granny Apple Green, too!
