SUO54 - For the Kiddies!
For this week's challenge at SUO Challenges, we're to focus on projects that are kid-oriented. I think the design team came up with some spectacular examples to get your mojo flowing!
This challenge gave me the opportunity to ink up a stamp set I just got and to make an interactive card, too.
Sliding the back-hoe over to "scoop" up the presents is sure to put a smile on the birthday boy's face!
I hope you will go see the samples made by the DT, and play along with us this week! We're always on the lookout for cute kids projects!!!
Stamps: I Dig You, Up, Up & Away (birds)

Slider for Mom
We just had our monthly Fancy Folds class, and one of the cards we made was this double slider card. It's got an extra surprise when you pull the out slider on top - another slider comes out of the bottom! This card was the inspiration, but I wanted to keep it a standard A2 card size, and a little less "busy".
This one is going to Mom, who just had her third chemotherapy treatment (of eight). The shot they give her to boost her white blood cells makes her ache horribly, and the pain killer for that has undesirable side effects, too. I hope the "surprise" she gets when she pulls the tab brings a smile to her face.
Don't forget to come back this Friday for the weekend-long Stampin' Addicts Holiday Mini Blog Hop! There will be lots of inspiration for using the new goodies coming in the Holiday Mini!!!
Stamps: Nature Walk, Pocket Silhouettes, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Soft Suede
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red, and Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pads, plus Regal Rose, So Saffron, Rose Red, Basic Black, and Peach Parfait Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories: Soft Suede 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Square Punch, Round Tab Punch, Sticky Strip, Blender Pens

TREAT CUPS SLIDER WINDOWS
There have been a few requests for how to make the slider window in the Valentine's Treat Cup card seen on the blog hop, so here is the tutorial.
Punch the main focal point cardstock with the Full Heart Punch. If you are using a mat under it, fasten the mat to the card front. Position the punched cardstock on the mat/card front wherever you want it, and trace inside the heart.
Follow the directions for using the Movers & Shapers Punch Window found HERE to make the opening in the card.
Stamp, emboss or decorate the main cardstock as desired.
Apply sticky tape to the edges of the main cardstock as shown. Be sure to leave an opening for the slider, and don't remove the backing just yet.
Don't remove the backing from the adhesive on the treat cup. Using 1/8" sticky tape, adhere the Heart Treat Cup to the underside of the main cardstock.
Now remove the backing from the sticky tape and adhere the main cardstock to the card front, making sure your hearts line up. It doesn't have to be exactly centered inside, as long as you can access the the cup from the inside to fill it.
The slider itself is 2" x 3", with a Round Tab punched tab attached.
Start by sliding the candy cover between the main cardstock and the mat/card front. Open the card and add the candy, then slide the cover closed.

More Spooky Stuff
I came up with this card for a teen workshop I'm doing in a couple weeks. The hostess wanted to do something fun for Halloween since she and her friends are a bit too old to go door to door. It will be held on Halloween, but fortunately it's in the afternoon, so I still have time to get home and see the adorable little trick-or-treaters.
There is a little tab to pull on the side, which exposes the sentiment. The bat was heat embossed, cut out, and popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
