Heart's Delight Cards: Scenic

This is the card I started to make when I was testing colors, which resulted in yesterday's card. I've seen some other really intriguing color combinations on Pinterest, too! Think "purple mountains majesty." There are lots more looks that I want to try!

The Pool Party textured cardstock is retired. It would be wonderful if that textured cardstock was brought back. It sure adds a nice, subtle bit of texture without using an embossing folder.

Waterfront, Occasions 2018, Stampin' Up!, Hand Stamped, Masculine Birthday,

This card was the result of a happy accident! I had grabbed a scrap of Very Vanilla to test different color combinations for a card I planned to make using the Waterfront stamp set. I fully expected to toss it in the trash, as I do most other card making "tests" but I ended up really liking it! (Well, except for where I messed up a little bit.)

That was easily remedied by cutting off the bad part with the large Stitched Shapes Framelit circle. Since I had this "useful bit" staring at me, I turned it into a nice masculine birthday card! I might give this to my hubby next month. Maybe.

I thought the Pinewood Planks made a nice background. After embossing the Crumb Cake, I dragged the Soft Suede ink pad across it so the wood grain would show. Anhoo, I really am besotted with this stamp set. I love the watercolor look, and how quickly I can put together a tranquil scene. You should try it!
