Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew - Butterfly Gala edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. You may have come from Lauren's blog, Crafty Little Peach, or are just starting here. Either way, follow the links at the bottom to go on to the next stop, or click the banner above for the blog roll.
When this hop was scheduled several months ago we had no idea that the Butterfly Duet Punch would be so popular and go on back order. I had made a project using the punch, but decided to make something different for this hop, since the punch isn't projected to be back in stock until the beginning of April. I wanted to show something that you could duplicate NOW!
My first card is pretty much #simplestamping using black and two other colors of ink, Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay. I am soooo tired of clouds and rain that I just had to do something with bright cheerful colors!
Thankfully, the Organdy Ribbon Pack from Sale-a-Bration is supposed to be back in stock March 4th! The striped DSP is from Botanical Butterfly, another Sale-a-Bration item that coordinates with this suite.
My second card also uses Lemon Lime Twist as the main color, with some of the beautiful Gingham Gala DSP (due back in stock on Feb. 18) and Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins.
The butterfly was colored with dark Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch Stampin' Blends, blended together to get a Lemon Lime Twist color.
I wish we had LLT Stampin' Blends, but I don't think that's going to happen, since it's an In Color that will retire the end of May. *sniff* I just think LLT and black POP together, don't you?
That's all I have to share today....up next is Stesha, over at Stampin' Hoot! She always makes me ohh and ahh when I see her creations!
