CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite New July Online Exclusive

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite thing from the upcoming July Online Exclusives release. Well..... there were several (many) things that were vying for favorites, but I managed to narrow it down the one bundle and one specialty designer series paper. But it was a challenge, lol! So let me introduce you to the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle, and the Shimmering Stripes Specialty DSP.

The striped background was made with the Simply Scored board, making the grooves in the cardstock every 1/8" with the smaller ball end of the stylus. To mimic the grooves, I used the Shimmering Stripes Specialty DSP cut with the Stylish Shapes circle die. If you zoom in, you can see the beautiful thin lines of fine silver glitter. It's gorgeous!

 

 

The poinsettias were cut from Bubble Bath Pastel Shimmer Paper, with a little Strawberry Slush sponged on to highlight the details. Centers were cut from Golden Glow cardstock which was brushed with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush before cutting.

 

The leaves and pine needles were stamped in Shaded Spruce, as was the greeting. I used the Light Bubble Bath Stampin' Blend to fill in the letters before fussy cutting it out. A few rhinestones complement the silver in the DSP.
