CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite Jan-Apr DSP

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite DSP from the new catalog or new Online Exclusives. Right now my favorite is the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP. This particular pattern brings back happy memories of my great grandmother....I'm sure she had an apron with this print, or something very similar. She also loved African Violets, so I chose Fragrant Layers for the flowers.

The DSP was matted on Basic Black and adhered to the card base. The floral image was stamped and colored with Stampin' Blends, then a layer of Vellum was added using Adhesive Sheets. Adhesive sheets are perfect for adhering vellum without any obvious glue or Stampin' Seal spots showing. (The vellum softened the image and helped the heat-embossed greeting to stand out more.) It was also matted on Basic Black and popped up on the background DSP. Iridescent Pearls added a little shine and texture.
