This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Basic Beige, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive.
I just got the Lovely Florals stamp set when it was on sale last month. I had been eye-balling it for a while, and the sale pushed me off the fence. Mainly, I wanted it for the grid image and the large hello, but the flower is absolutely gorgeous, and I knew it would be perfect for today's theme. Besides, I got to color! 😊
So, how did I get Crushed Curry, when we don't have a Stampin' Blend in that color? Another demo has figured out that if you blend Dark Darling Duckling and Dark Daffodil Delight it makes Crushed Curry - brilliant!
The grid was stamped and heat embossed in gold on the Basic White background, then adhered to the base. It's really subtle, but the banner was stamped in Basic Beige at the top of the greeting panel. After adding the greeting, it was matted on Old Olive and popped up on dimensionals. The flower was fussy cut and popped up as well. I didn't think the card needed any embellishment since the gold grid added some shine.
