Thursday Challenge - CSF858

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Boho Blue, Cajun Craze, and Pebbled Path. I am so going to miss Boho Blue when it retires the end of April! It's such a pretty blue that pairs perfectly with Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy. Oh well, maybe it will come back again as a core color later. *fingers crossed*

I used a couple of upcoming Online Exclusives for this card. The first is the Textured Notes Dies rectangle that the image from Spotlight on Nature is stamped on. And the second is the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder used on the Pebbled Path background.

I know the colors are a bit different for a floral image, but I think it worked pretty dang well! Oh! And I almost forgot the Starburst Sequins, another Online Exclusive that starts March 4th. I colored the white sequins with the Light Pebbled Path Stampin' Blend, and it looks metallic!

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Casing Myself

Today I'm the CASE-ee for the Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop. I chose this card from last November because I love the color combination of Night of Navy, Highland Heather, and Fresh Freesia!

I did the same technique of blending those colors onto white cardstock with Blending Brushes, but instead of embossing the background, I used the new Textured Notes Dies to create layers.

The image is from Painted Lavender, and the greeting from Linked Together.

Those adorable Starburst Sequins will be part of next month's new Online Exclusives offerings.

Thursday Challenge - CSF857

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch. I'll admit I had to ponder this one for a while before inspiration struck. I wanted to do something different than the obvious floral design, though that circle screams for a big blossom, with floral print DSP in the background, don't you agree?

We are in the throes of yet another arctic blast, and I just want to get out in my garden and plant things! 😢 This rabbit, with his adorable red suspenders, has the right idea. Lettuce and carrots are cool weather crops, but it's still too stinking cold (with snow on the ground) to even plant those!

I love stacked stone walls, and Lord knows we have enough rocks here to do something like it, but I'm too old to even attempt it, so stamping and coloring one will have to do. The stones were stamped and colored with Gray Granite (what else?), Mr. Rabbit was stamped in black and colored with Crumb Cake, Boho Blue, Real Red, and Granny Apple Green. The soil growing the carrots is Light Pecan Pie, with Dark Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green for the carrots. The other greenery was Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. Since every garden needs bees, I added some Tiny Bee Trinkets. 😊

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Casing Lori de Groot

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop CASE is Lori de Groot. I found so many CASE possibilities on her blog, but ultimately chose a card from last March. I loved the color theme and layout, though I turned the layout on its side for my card. Here is Lori's card:

I started by adhering the 3" x 5 1/2" Crumb Cake DSP to the card base on the right side. A 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Basic White was embossed with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder and adhered on the left side, then a 3/8" x 5 1/2" strip of Lemon Lolly was glued over the seam.

After stamping and die cutting the rose image, it was colored with Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. I added some shadowing with the Light Crumb Cake Blend to make the flowers pop a little more. It was adhered to the card with dimensionals, as was the greeting. Those Antique Pearls complement the colors perfectly!
