CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF887

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is this sketch:

I thought is was the perfect way to show off some of the patterns in the Gathering Together Specialty DSP. The opposite side of the Cajun Craze leaf pattern has a bunch of different fall leaves accented with gold. I fussy cut a couple of them to add behind the greeting.

The stripe embossed card base is from the Embossed Designs Mix & Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes in the annual catalog. There are striped ones, as shown, and also polka dots. And they have matching envelopes with embossed flaps! Pretty cool.

I can see I should have moved the W over a bit more to the right. Oh well, it's glued on now and can't be fixed. 😞

The Old Olive strip measures 1" x 6-1/4" and the Cajun Craze strips measure 7/8" x 3-1/2".

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Fave Holiday Catalog Bundle

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite bundle from the new Sep-Dec mini catalog. This week for me it's Branching Out. (Next week, who knows?) 😁

I love that this set can be used not just for holidays, but for birthdays, thinking of you, and more! And the dies are to die for!!!

The branch was stamped in Pecan Pie, with Early Espresso pine cones added. The greenery is Mossy Meadow. The little spots are Basic Beige stamped randomly, with more Basic Beige blended on where the greeting was placed. After tying the Early Espresso linen bow, the greeting was stamped, fussy cut, and adhered with mini dimensionals.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF886

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Cloud Cover, Lemon Lolly, and Fresh Freesia.

I started by cutting the opening in the Cloud Cover base with Everyday Arches, then embossed the front with the Exposed Brick 3D folder. For the Lemon Lolly background, I started with L.L. cardstock and added more ink with a Blending Brush at the top, tapering down to nothing at the bottom.

The floral silhouette was stamped, and stamped again without re-inking, then the Lemon Lolly panel was adhered to the inside front. I used the same size arch die, and the next larger size to create the Fresh Freesia frame.

The greeting from The Right Words was stamped on Fresh Freesia and a banner end cut before adhering to the card with dimensionals. I thought about using Cloud Cover embellishments but ultimately went with Fresh Freesia because they popped a little better.

For the inside, I stamped the same image in Cloud Cover* and added the rest of the sentiment.

*Cloud Cover is not available in the Classic Stampin' Pad, but it is available as an ink refill, Stampin' Write Marker (In Color set), or in the Classic Stampin' Spot Small Assortment 1 set. I used an uninked Stampin' Spot and the ink refill.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Fave September Online Exclusive

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite September Online Exclusive. Not surprisingly I have several, but the Pine Tree Trimmings bundle is in the top three, so I chose it for today's card. One of the great things about this bundle is how inexpensive it is!

I paired the bundle with my favorite new mini catalog DSP, Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty DSP. It's a mouthful, but really cute and Christmassy!

The plaid DSP was adhered to the Garden Green mat and then to the left flap of the card (measurements are given below). The inner DSP was also adhered to a Garden Green mat and then to the inside of the card. The starry tree inside was stamped in Soft Sea Foam, stamped off once.

On the white front panel I blended some Lemon Lolly to make a glow behind the die cut DSP tree, then stamped the greeting. Gifts were stamped and die cut, then adhered to the bottom of the panel, saving one for in front of the tree. The tree was attached with mini dimensionals. The panel was matted on gold foil, then on Garden Green and adhered to the left flap.
