CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Fall Flowers

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Fall flowers. I always think of sunflowers and chrysanthemums for Fall. Since I don't have a 'mum stamp, sunflowers it is!

Starting with a piece of Very Vanilla embossed with the Sunflowers folder, I brushed Crushed Curry, Pecan Pie, and Mossy Meadow to make the flowers pop. That was adhered to the card base, and a large Spotlight on Nature circle cut from more Very Vanilla was added.

The gold hoop was glued on with tiny dots of multipurpose glue. Using scraps of Very Vanilla (soo very many scraps, lol) the flower pot and sunflowers were stamped, colored with the filler stamps and die cut, then popped up on mini dimensionals. Note: there isn't a filler stamp for the leaves, so I used a Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend to color them. After stamping and fussy cutting the greeting, it was also popped up and some butterflies added.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF893

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is this sketch:

I haven't made a square card in a while, so this was fun! I started with a Cloud Cover 5-1/2" square tent-fold card base. To that was adhered a square of Basic White which was embossed with the *Beautiful Pattern folder. It's a 6-1/4 x 4-1/2 folder, so I had to run it through the machine twice to get the entire square embossed.

On the embossed piece was added a strip of Peaceful Garden DSP, with two narrow strips of Secret Sea glued to the edges. Three rectangles of Secret Sea created the background for the roses (*Pop-Up Petals Bundle), which were stamped in black, filled with Garden Green (stamped off) and Real Red, die cut and popped up on mini dimensionals. The greeting (*Words of Beauty Bundle) was stamped and die cut and also popped up. A Real Red Shiny Ribbon bow and Secret Sea Flat Pearls completed the card.

Measurements
  • Card base: Cloud Cover 5-1/2" x 11", scored/folded at 5-1/2"

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Happy Halloween

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Happy Halloween. I think it can't get much happier than that little pumpkin in Choose Happy!

There are lots of layers on this card (measurements given below), starting with the plaid embossed background. After embossing, a strip of Irregular Weave trim was added before it was adhered to the card base. The white mat was die cut with a Textured Notes die, run through the machine twice to shorten it from a rectangle to a square. The square greeting had a little Peach Pie blended on before stamping the greeting.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF892

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Granny Apple Green, Petunia Pop, and Pumpkin Pie. They sure look like Halloween colors to me, so this card was the result.

I started by blending Granny Apple Green on the Whispers of Texture striped specialty paper, which will be available for customer order Tuesday, Nov. 4th. I love that there are two different textures; one looks like linen, and there's the stripe as shown here. (Whispers of Texture is white 12" x 12" and you get six sheets, 3 of each texture.)

After adhering it to the card base, a 1/4" strip of gold was glued above it. The 2-step greeting from Sign Design was stamped and punched with the matching punch. I added the Petunia Pop banner to the back before popping it all up on dimensionals.

The pumpkins from Choose Happy were stamped using Basic Gray, and colored with Stampin' Blends before being fussy cut. They are also popped up on dimensionals. I added some BOOs and Granny Apple Green hexagons to complete the card.

  • Card base: Petunia Pop 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored/folded at 4-1/4"
  • Bottom panel: Whispers of Texture 2-1/8" x 5-1/4"
