CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Black & Gold Christmas

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Black & Gold Christmas, a truly non-traditional, modern and elegant look. Luckily, the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP has lots of black and gold patterns, so this card was easy to design!

I started with gold foil and used the largest Textured Notes die to cut it. Then I measured just inside the decorative edge to cut a piece of DSP to fit. (Measurements below.)

A gold foil tree was cut using the Pine Tree Trimmings die and embossed with the Lovely Stripes embossing folder that's coming in January. The sentiment is found in the Greetings For You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, which just happens to be on the Last Chance list. It's fabulous for quick cards because the greetings are already die cut AND have an adhesive back! It's out of stock right now, but supposed to be back in stock the week of Dec. 15. Grab it while you can for next year's cards!

Measurements
  • Card base: Basic Black 4-1/4" x 11", scored/folded at 5-1/2"
  • 1st layer: Gold foil sheet die cut 3-7/8" x 5-1/4"
  • 2nd layer: Modern Christmas DSP 3-9/16" x 4-15/16"
That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF898

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is using Basic White and any metallic. White and gold are a classic combination, so that's what I chose.

The gold embossed background used the new Lasting Linen background stamp that is a November Online Exclusive. I heat embossed with gold embossing power, but didn't cover the entire background, giving it a torn edge look.

The label and greeting are from the upcoming Jan-Apr mini catalog. The stamp set is called Addressed to You, and has greetings and images for holidays and birthdays.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Ready For Christmas

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Ready for Christmas. And, for once, I AM ready! (Well, my Christmas shopping is done, anyway.) Are you ready? 😁

I stamped the bear and gifts with black Memento ink and colored with Stampin' Blends before using the matching dies to cut them all out.  The beautiful fancy labels in the background are from the Beautifully Celebrated Dies that will be available in the upcoming January-April mini catalog. And the greeting fit perfectly in the Three Banner Punch!

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF897

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch, and it was a great jumping off point for the cards that were sent to friends this Thanksgiving:

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla was embossed with the Gathering Leaves embossing folder, then adhered to a Very Vanilla card base.

A 1-3/8" x 4-3/4" strip of Cajun Craze was adhered 1" from the bottom edge of the card. After die cutting images from Autumn Toile DSP, they were adhered to 1-1/4" x 2-1/16" pieces of Very Vanilla and popped up over the Cajun Craze strip.

I carefully inked just the "So incredibly grateful" part of the greeting stamp to get the front greeting, then cleaned the stamp and carefully inked the rest of it ("for all my blessings, especially you!") to stamp inside the card. Some Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments added a little sparkle. Here's another one with slightly different patterns:
