The Stamp Review Crew - Snow Front

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2019/10/snow-front.html

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's first Monday of the month hop! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday, and that's today! If you landed here from Mitosu Crafts welcome! Isn't Jay's stamping style just gorgeous?

Today we are featuring a photopolymer stamp set from the Holiday catalog called Snow Front. It may look somewhat familiar to you because the artwork is reminiscent of the Waterfront set in the annual catalog.

It is so satisfying to build scenes, and I especially loved making Winter scenes since, up until today, it's been so bloomin' hot!

I decided to use each size of card bases in the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack. The large card measures 4-1/4" x 6-1/4" and the small one measures 3-1/4" x 4-1/4". Let's start with the large one.

The water was stamped in Seaside Spray, the bare trees in Early Espresso, the deer in Soft Suede, and the birds in Real Red. I wanted to keep the colors to a minimum and preserve a cool, frosty feel.

After stamping the scene, I used the Subtle 3D embossing folder to give it texture, and adhered it over a strip of Seaside Spray on the card base. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Greetings. Some Snowflake Sequins added to the snowy scene!

For the second card I envisioned a little thank you note to include with customer gifts. I wanted to keep the cool theme going, so I stamped the cabin in Night of Navy and the trees in Night of Navy and Seaside Spray.

After cutting with Rectangle Stitched Dies, it was adhered to a piece of Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP, and a couple Silver Glimmer snowflakes from the Frosted Frames Dies were added. The greeting is from A Big Thank You.

Up next is the ever fabulous Linda Callahan at Stampin' Seasons!
