CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Loving Sale-A-Bration!

Happy New Year, everyone! Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Favorite Sale-A-Bration stamp set. This was an easy choice for me for once! I immediately fell in love with the Friendly Hello set as soon as I saw it. I mean, what's not to love? There are flowers, leaves, an adorable bird, and great sentiments as well. Plus, this is one of the "extra" Sale-A-Bration items that has matching DSP (with a qualifying order). Woot!

For today's card I stamped and cut out the bird on the branch, then colored it with Stampin' Blends. I like the way the paper lattice and background DSP give it almost an Asian look!

 

The circle behind the lattice helped the popped up image stand out, and some Champagne Rhinestone jewels added the bling I wanted.

Stamp Review Crew - Plentiful Plants

HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Plentiful Plants edition! This is our first hop of the year. The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Lou's blog, With a Bow on Top, welcome! There are six of us today, so the hop won't take too long, but it's sure to be inspiring!

The Plentiful Plants photopolymer stamp set has 15 stamps and a matching 14 piece die set called Perfect Plants Dies. There's also beautiful DSP called Bloom Where You're Planted (which was used as background for the cards).

For the first card I thought it would be fun to make a brick wall with floating wood shelves holding colorful pots filled with various variegated aloes.

The Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder with the stone looking DSP turned out great! I added a little extra Gray Granite to a few bricks with a sponge dauber, and extra veins to the plants with Stampin' Write Markers.

The second card uses some stamped and die cut images and really pops against the darker DSP background.

After heat embossing the greeting and cutting it (label from Meadow Dies) I added a little So Saffron Stampin' Blend to the white embossing, turning it Very Vanilla to match the card.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - New Beginnings

Happy New Year, everyone! 

 

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is New Beginnings - anything new from the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog and that sure leaves us a plethora of products to pick from! I chose the Blessings of Home Suite because I just love coloring those flowers.

The Heart & Home DSP has some lovely neutral gray wood backgrounds which I think really coordinates well with the Misty Moonlight doily and card base. After coloring and die cutting the flower bunch, I popped it up on dimensionals over the Hive 3D embossed circle. 

Naturally I had to add some Bumblebee trinkets with that honeycomb background. And I didn't realize how soft and supple the denim ribbon is until I went to make the bow. I'll be using it a lot more in upcoming projects!
