CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Christmas in July!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Christmas in July! Great theme, huh? 😁 Today I'm featuring the Snowman Magic Bundle because, well, snowmen....and snowflakes!

I masked off the card base to created the snowy hills and sky, then used a Blending Brush and Tahitian Tide to create the sky.

After stamping the Soft Succulent trees, I die cut the snowflake frame and glued it on the card front. The snow man, arms, hat and scarf were all die cut, glued, and attached with dimensionals. I thought the pearl heart was the perfect touch!

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Christmas in July!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Christmas in July, and I've been seeing lots of holiday magic previews from the new Jul-Dec Mini catalog. It's the (second) most wonderful time of the year! My card today features the absolutely adorable Sweet Little Stockings bundle.

Isn't that little pup face peeking out of the stocking too cute?! Can't you just imagine the squeals of delight when the kids see something like that?

Notice the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon? It's hard to see in the photo, but so pretty in real life! I paired this bundle with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies. It looks so festive and really gets me in the mood for my upcoming Twelve Days of Christmas in July later this month. *wink*

That's my share for today. Click the Next button to jump over to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Mary Brown at Stamper Camper's Corner has made!

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS IN JULY (Day 1)

Heart's Delight Cards, Warm & Toasty, 2020 Aug-Dec Mini, Christmas in July, Stampin' Up!

Here we are, just over five months away from Christmas, and other than cards I've made to post I have not started my Christmas cards. EEP! So to inspire you, and kick my lazy butt into gear, here is Day 1 of the 12 Days of Christmas in July. Measurements and instructions follow.

Heart's Delight Cards, Warm & Toasty, 2020 Aug-Dec Mini, Christmas in July, Stampin' Up!

I just can't seem to put down the Warm & Toasty stamp set. You know I don't usually go for "cute" stamps, but this one just grabbed me and begged me to play with it. So who was I to resist? The polar bear is a great image to color because it doesn't take much coloring AT ALL! Pretty much just his hat and scarf. I added a little Light Pool Party to make some shadows and that was it.

Heart's Delight Cards, Warm & Toasty, 2020 Aug-Dec Mini, Christmas in July, Stampin' Up!

Christmas in July (Make it Mailable) and a Sneak Peek

Let's see, did I miss anything? Nope, I think that title about covers it, lol!  Today's card is the one we are making in our Christmas Card Club today. It features a new stamp set from the Holiday catalog (starts Aug. 1st), as well as some fabulous Christmas DSP from said catalog.  Oooo, and see that shiny gold foil cardstock? That's in there, too! And, since today is Make it Mailable day, I opted not to put a ribbon and bow on it. The Candy Dots looked cuter anyway, and kept the polka-dot theme going.

Did you know we're having a July special on Designer Series Paper? Buy three and get one free! Don't miss out on on this great deal! Click image below to shop.  Note: The DSP stacks and Specialty DSP are not included.

Keeping this post short and sweet today, since I'm up to my neck in Convention swaps. I'm starting to feel a bit anxious about getting them finished in time!!!

Highlighted items below will be available August 1st
Stamps: Wishing You
Cardstock: Whisper White, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style DSP, Gold Foil
Ink: VersaMark, plus Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers

Christmas in July

Every time Stampin' Up! releases a new catalog, I rush through it a few times checking the new stamp sets, and then settle down and pore over it slowly, trying to absorb all the other wonderful things.  Not only the new tools (particularly anything Big Shot-related), but also the projects that the SU design team created. Gawd, what a dream job that must be....can you imagine?!

Today's card was inspired by the sweet little Christmas decor frame on page 18 of the Holiday catalog. It looked to me like the text from the Evergreen stamp set was stamped on vellum, so that's what I did. Since vellum doesn't absorb ink like regular cardstock, the new Heat Tool was used to dry it.  Yep, there's a "Low" setting specifically for drying ink - it's awesome!

The crisp, clean details of the script just amaze me. Here's a close-up, so you can see what I mean. You can see the loops in the letter e! To get a perspective of how small the script is, look at the "Peace" on the tag attached to the bow. :-)

Stamp: Evergreen
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations, White Cardstock Vellum, Champagne Glimmer Paper
Ink: Gumball Green, Early Espresso (pad & marker)
Accessories: Big Shot, Labels Framelits Collection, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Jewelry Tag Punch, Merry Minis Punch Pack, Stampin' Sanding Block, Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Vintage Trinkets, Stampin' Dimensionals
