Stamp Review Crew Bonus Hop - Sale-A-Bration!

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Sale-A-Bration edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Kim's blog, welcome! There are ten of us today - I guess everyone loves the SAB offerings! And there is a lot to love!!! I used four of the six stamp sets available, as well as some SAB ribbon and gems.

First up is a simple card made with the Softly Sophisticated stamp set. This set is bundled with an embossing folder (which I used on the next card). The Granny Apple Green stems and Pool Party flowers were stamped repeatedly along the bottom of the white panel, and that gorgeous Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon was added below.

After adhering the stamped panel to the Pool Party card base, the greeting was stamped and cut with a Stylish Shapes die, and layered over a Pool Party Stylish Shapes die cut. Then Pool Party Opaque Faceted Gems completed the card.

The second card was made for a friend who is expecting her first baby (a boy!) this Spring. I chose a kind of neutral color scheme with Soft Sea Foam and Pecan Pie. The images were stamped with Pecan Pie and colored with Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends.

The image panel was cut with the Countryside Corners dies, and I shortened it by running it through the SCEM with the die moved over a bit.

A strip of Soft Sea Foam was embossed with the folder from the bundle mentioned above, and those darling elephants were stamped with VersaMark on the Pecan Pie card base. More Opaque Faceted Gems and a Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding bow finished it off.

And finally, my favorite of the bunch...the Detailed Dogwood card. I love it when the dogwoods are in bloom here, so I was thrilled to see this stamp set! I stamped the Granny Apple Green dots on the white background, alternating fully inked and stamped off for a subtle gradation in color.

The dogwood blossoms and buds were stamped in Smoky Slate and colored with Bubble Bath and Granny Apple Green Blends, then fussy cut. (Man, I sure could have used some dies for this set!) I then stamped the greeting from Heartfelt Hellos and cut it with a Tailor Made Tags die.

After adhering the blossoms to the tag, everything was popped up on dimensionals, with a Bubble Bath Bow and some Berry Burst sequins (Adhesive-backed Sequins Trio) added.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Stacey created, or "Previous" to visit Kim again. Thanks for stopping by!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - I think I Love You

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Hop theme is I Think I Love You. (And now I have that Partridge Family song stuck in my noggin, lol.) The new mini has several love-themed sets, including Hooray For Surprises. I love the dies that coordinate with it, and used them (along with a Perennial Postage die) on this card.

On the Flirty Flamingo card base I adhered a strip of Real Red ribbon, followed by a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of DSP.

The hearts were cut from Real Red and Basic White cardstock, and the leafy branch from Real Red which was then glued to the white heart.

Greeting and hearts were stamped in Real Red and cut with the larger square Perennial Postage die. The white heart and greeting were both popped up on dimensionals, and some white sequins were added.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

Thursday Challenge - CCMC802

This week's challenge is a color challenge, and I'm pretty sure Connie & Mary were looking right at the Perennial Lavender DSP when they chose these colors!

Which, of course, made it incredible easy to put this card together! Interestingly, I did not use the Painted Lavender stamp set, lol. I really felt Heartfelt Hexagon, paired with the cake image in Hooray for Surprises was the way for me to go.

To the Basic White card base I adhered a 4" x 5 1/2" strip of DSP. After embossing the 1 3/4" x 5 1/2" strip of Lost Lagoon, it was matted on white and adhered to the card. The greeting was stamped in Gorgeous Grape with a Highland Heather frame and punched out.

The cakes and flowers were stamped in Gorgeous Grape, and I used a Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blend to color the blossoms. All the details were popped up on dimensionals and some Highland Heather Purple Fine Shimmer Gems added to the flower centers.
