CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Easter Cards

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Easter, and I fell in love with the adorable little duckling in the Easter Friends set, so I just had to make a card with it!

I cut the So Saffron plaid background with the Basic Borders die and adhered it to the Basic White base.  The duckling was stamped in Basic Gray ink and die cut with the Encircled In Beauty die (which is retiring when the current annual catalog ends). After coloring the duckling, it was adhered with dimensionals.

A sheer Pool Party bow and some Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels (jewels available until May 2, or while supplies last) were added to complete the card.

Stamp Review Crew - Amazing Silhouettes

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's AMAZING SILHOUETTES edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mike's blog, Stampin-Style, welcome!

The Amazing Silhouettes cling stamp set only has three stamps, but they are so versatile, especially when paired with the Amazing Thanks Dies.

To give you an idea of how easy it is to make a fab card with this bundle, my mom just arrived yesterday for a two week visit. Needless to say, while my house is relatively clean most of the time, it isn't "mom clean", so I was busy deep cleaning all this week, and hadn't time to make my projects.

These two cards were made after Mom went to bed tonight (Sunday night).

So while I didn't have time to write a pithy post, at least I did get two cards made!

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what my friend Charlet at Painted Orange  created, or "Previous" to visit Mike again!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Black & White

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Black & White. So many directions one can go with this! I usually like to add a pop of color, like Real Red, Daffodil Delight, or Coastal Cabana, but the theme was clear - B&W!

Fortunately, we have the new All Together 6" x 6" DSP which is nothing but black and white prints! I chose the leafy print for the background to the sentiment label and die cut it with a Scalloped Contours die. (The sentiment label is also in that die set.)

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Go GREEN!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is St. Patrick's Day, or predominantly green. I think I nailed it with this card!

I started by cutting a stencil in thick cardstock to make the rainbow. I left the cut pieces in place on the stripes that I wasn't adding color to so the colors didn't get mixed up.

There's always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, right? I used a pot die from Perfect Plants Dies and added lots o' gold with the Gilded Gems. The glow from all that gold was added using the rays in the Sharing Sunshine stamp set (Mango Melody, stamped off once).

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Monochrome

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is monochromatic cards - choose one color plus white/vanilla. It's feeling like Spring here, so my first thought was GREEN! The grass is starting to grow again, the daffodils are blooming, and I'm itching to get the garden going, so I have green on my mind.

The Amazing Silhouettes stamp set made this card quick and easy. I stamped the tree in Garden Green and matted it on matching cardstock. The ombre background was created with Garden Green ink and a Blending Brush.

Cutting the greeting with the coordinating Amazing Thanks Dies was easy, and popping it up on dimensionals makes it pop.
