Favorite Preorder Product!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Favorite Preorder PRODUCT"  - not any of the stamps. This was a no-brainer for me, because I loooove all the products in the Forever Greenery Suite. I had to use several of them on this card, because they are all my favorites!

First off is the gorgeous Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper. This is unlike previous laser-cut papers, because you don't have to cut the components apart; it's all ready to go! I colored the back of the fern leaf with a Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blend marker to make it pop against the Greenery embossed Soft Sea Foam background.

The Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack has the open-weave 1/2" Vanilla trim and the 1/16" Gold cord, both of which are used here. Even though the Forever Fern bundle is a part of this suite, I wanted a birthday greeting so I borrowed one from Butterfly Wishes, along with a die cut from the Stitched Labels Dies (which are retiring June 2nd).

That's my share for today. Now click the Next button to jump to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Mary Brown at Stamper Camper's Corner made!

Favorite Preorder Stamp!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Favorite Preorder Stamp" and I'll be honest with you, whichever stamp I am using at the time is my current favorite. I can't choose just one! So, since I hadn't played with Jar of Flowers yet, and a friend is having a milestone birthday next week, that became my favorite du jour! This set was near the top of my wish list when I saw the new catalog, so I was happy to see it on the preorder list.

The flowers and jar outline stamps were first stamped in Smoky Slate, then Pool Party ink was applied with a sponge dauber to the jar filler stamp (the reverse side of the jar stamp) to lighten the color a bit. The water was stamped with Pool Party full strength.

THEN the magic happened! I stamped the jar filler again in VersaMark and applied clear embossing powder so the jar is shiny like glass. The flowers were stamped twice more so I could fussy cut to add depth to the bouquet.

Sunflower Card Ribbon Tutorial

Here is how I did the ribbon on the sunflower card I posted yesterday. All you need is ribbon and some glue dots!
1. Start by placing a glue dot about 2 inches from the left side of the ribbon. (I left the ribbon on the spool until I was finished, so I can't give you an approximate cut length.)

2. Fold the ribbon back on itself at an angle over the glue dot, and make a loop catching the edge of the glue dot that is sticking out a little.

3. Repeat for the other side.

4. Fold back the ribbon, centering it, and add another glue dot to hold the center loop of ribbon.

Send Sunflowers!

I'm taking part in something Stampin' Up! is promoting by making and sending cards as a random act of kindness. They've dubbed it #sharesunshine, and the object is to brighten someone's day by sending a card or little gift. Everyone can use a little sunshine right about now, right? And what better way than to find some happy mail in the mailbox when you least expect it?

Since I can't actually send sunshine, I can send the next best thing....sunflowers! This bright, cheerful card was made with some goodies from the Flowers For Every Season Suite coming in the new catalog.

The Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set has coordinating Sunflowers Dies that make it simple to make a big impression. See the DSP peeking out from the die cut? That's one of the patterns in the absolutely gorgeous Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" DSP.

The Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon isn't part of the suite, but you can find it on page 161. I think the Bumblebee gingham was perfect for a sunny sunflower card!

Control Freaks Preorder Preview!

This month the Tour de Freaks are sharing some sneak peeks from our catalog preorder! There are so many amazing new things coming in the new annual catalog next month, and we demos are the first to get to order and play with select items, one of the (many) perks of being a demo!

I'm the first stop on the hop - there are nine of us today, but you may have landed here from Lisa Martz's blog, Get Your Stamp On! It's been a while since Lisa was able to join the tour, and we're so glad to have her back! Be sure to follow the links at the bottom of each stop to visit each blog.

I chose the In Good Taste Suite because the Tasteful Labels Dies that coordinate with the Tasteful Touches cling stamp set are "to die" for... I just can't get enough of them! And the stamp set, which I didn't think would get very much use, has become one of my favorites. Who would have thunk?! I have two cards today with two completely different looks.

This first card uses two of the label dies for nice layering. I cut the stitched Rich Razzleberry label in half so it would extend farther out from under the main embossed label. The flower was fussy cut (very easy because it's not too intricate) and I added embellishments from four different suites. The white ribbon is part of the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, and the gold trim is from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. The wooden element is part of the In Good Taste Suite. And the Gilded Gems are part of the Ornate Garden Suite early release that YOU can order now!

Helpful hint: Tie two knots in that gold cord on either side of where you will cut it. That stuff unravels really easily!

This next card uses the feather image from that stamp set, and the new In Color called Misty Moonlight. We weren't able to preorder the new In Color ink pads, but I found that Night of Navy, stamped off once or twice is a dead ringer for Misty Moonlight!

The little squares were heat-embossed in white on the Misty Moonlight panel, which was then adhered on a Tasteful Textile-embossed panel. That 3D embossing folder is also part of the suite! The Misty Moonlight In Color Enamel Dots completed this monochromatic card.

That's all I have have for today, so jump on over to Melissa Davies at the Rubber FUNatics to see what she has in store!

Brighter Days Ahead!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Brighter Days Ahead" so we were to make something to cheer someone up.

The upcoming Forever Fern Suite is perfect for any gender, so I really hope this card brings a smile to the person for whom it is intended!

My camera was giving me fits when I was trying to take the photos, so I ran out of time to write a pithy post, lol. Anyway, I used products from several different suites because everything Stampin' Up! makes just coordinates so well!

Tasteful Touches Sneak Peek

Here is a little sneak peek at the new Tasteful Touches Bundle (pg 124, 2020 AC) and a new In Color, called Just Jade. The bundle includes a nine piece red rubber cling stamp set and the ten piece Tasteful Labels Dies. Those stitched and embossed label dies are going to get a LOT of use!

Since I wasn't able to preorder the new In Color ink pads, I improvised and found that Shaded Spruce, stamped off, is nearly identical to Just Jade. Sweet!

Oh, and I almost forgot.....there's also a sneak peek at some new Flowers For Every Season Ribbon and a new two piece embossing folder set called Greenery that is part of the Forever Greenery Suite (pg 110, 2020 AC). Love me some new textures!
