Snowflake Showcase!

Heart's Delight Cards, Snow Is Glistening, Snowfall Thinlits, Let It Snow, Stampin' Up!

Three more days until the Snowflake Showcase limited edition goodies will be available for EVERYONE to order! I used a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches (a few weeks back) and came up with this simple snowflakey card.

Heart's Delight Cards, Snow Is Glistening, Snowfall Thinlits, Let It Snow, Stampin' Up!

The leaves that I used on this card were heat embossed in white on Night of Navy stitched squares as a background for the Sparkle Glimmer snowflakes. I die cut the snowflakes out of the panel behind the stitched squares to save some of that precious paper.

Good ol' Labeler Alphabet came to the rescue for my Let it Snow banner. The flakes on the background were stamped in Balmy Blue. All in all, a pretty, quick, pretty quick card!

Happiness Surrounds & FMS360

Heart's Delight Cards, Happiness Surrounds, Snowfall Thinlits, Stitched Labels Framelits, Hello Friend, FMS360, Stampin' Up!

Playing along with this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. They are up to number 360 now! I love that their sketches are CAS, because it makes it so easy to create a pretty card. Just pick a focal point (image) and/or greeting and some colors, and follow the "map!" This is the sketch:

Once again, I am using products from the Snowflake Showcase soon-to-be-released limited-edition products! The greeting is from the Happiness Surrounds stamp set, which includes some fun images and a variety of greetings.

Are you wondering where that lacy doily came from? It's the largest snowflake die, cut down to remove the points! I did borrow the stitched heart die from the Stitched Labels Framelits. I thought it was perfect for a friendship card.

With the exception of the card base and DSP background, this card was completely made from scraps. Organizing tip: I slit open one end of the plastic wrap that the cardstock comes in, and put most scraps back into the wrapper (tiny scraps go in the recycle bin). That way I can check to see if there's an appropriate-size scrap to use before cutting into a fresh sheet of cardstock!

Measurements
Die cuts: scraps of Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Lovely Lipstick
DSP: 3" x 4-1/2" Sahara Sand from Neutrals DSP pack
 Card base: Whisper White 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4"

Country Home Thank You

Heart's Delight Cards, Country Home, Thanks, Thank You, Stampin' Up!

First of all, I may be making very short blog posts for the next 2-3 weeks, because I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before my Orlando trip, and I'm losing the battle. Not only am I trying to design cards and schedule blog posts in advance (including Stamp Review Crew and My Inky Friends commitments), I also need to make swaps for the Stampin' Up! OnStage event, PLUS roomie gifts for my two room mates. Then I need to think about my Saturday Stampers Club when I get back.

Oh, and did I mention I haven't started my Christmas cards yet, and I've been commissioned to make two dozen Christmas cards for a friend? *Sigh* It will all work out, I know it will. And besides, I do my best work when deadlines are looming, even if it does stress me out.

On to today's card.....I really, really, REALLY hope that Country Home is going to be one of the stamp sets that carries over when the Holiday catalog ends. It is such a sweet set, and I can't get enough of coloring it!

Heart's Delight Cards, Country Home, Thanks, Thank You, Stampin' Up!

I used the Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss patterns in the Country Lane DSP as the background, and they look awesome together! The greeting, pitcher, and dried arrangement were stamped with Early Espresso and colored with Light Crumb Cake, Light Soft Suede, and Mint Macaron Combo Stampin' Blends Makers.

Heart's Delight Cards, Country Home, Thanks, Thank You, Stampin' Up!

And can you believe it....no Big Shot was involved in this card! I know, shocker!

My Inky Friends Challenge #11 - Sketch!

https://myinkyfriends.blogspot.com/2018/10/my-inky-friends-design-challenge-10.html

My Inky Friends has a great sketch challenge this time. The inspiration for the sketch can be found on page 122 of the Stampin' Up! annual catalog. I was feeling snowflakey since its been rather chilly and we had our first frost a few days ago.

I use the Snow is Glistening limited edition stamp set that will be available next month, as well as the Snowfall Thinlits Dies that are part of the Snowflake Showcase.

This has to be a really short post, because our Internet isn't working, so my hubby made his phone a hotspot for me and I need to use as little data as possible!

The Sparkle Glimmer paper snowflakes are so SPARKLY in real life! And since Stampin' Up! redesigned the glimmer paper, it is really easy to cut with the dies, and it doesn't shed glitter everywhere! Yay!!!

If you'd like to play along this time (I hope you will!), click the banner at the top of the page or follow the link below. The guidelines are simple!
1. For a sketch challenge, follow the general design of the sketch, although it can be flipped. For a color challenge, Stampin' Up! colors are listed. You can use compatible colors and add neutrals as needed.
2. Create something new that has not been posted before.
3. Post your creation on your blog or online gallery, and please provide a link back to our challenge. Provide a direct link to your project or post to the Linky on the challenge page
4. Feel free to combine up to three challenges, as long as you include a link to the Inky Friends post.
5. Most important of all - have fun!
