Attitude of Gratitude

Today's moment of gratitude is for the news that Mom's CAT scan was negative - there are no apparent tumors to be found. Of course that doesn't mean she is cancer-free, but it is very encouraging! I'm thankful we live in an era of medical and technological advances that help so many people.

One last card from the Masculine Cards class, then tomorrow on to some frou-frou and holiday schtuff!
This is pretty much a direct CASE from Cindy Hall's card here.

I loved the warm autumn glow of the colors she chose, and the subject matter! Tearing the Early Espresso panel made it look even more rugged and masculine, and having the greeting off-center better balanced the bird. (A lot of alliteration, teehee!)

Stamps: Autumn Days, On Your Birthday
Cardstock: More Mustard, Cajun Craze, So Saffron, Early Espresso
Inks: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Cajun Craze Classic

Thankful For My Family

This was the card we made in the Marker Club a couple days ago.  Two of the marker techniques we covered were coloring direct-to-stamp, and using the Color Spritzer Tool.  I thought the theme was appropriate because the two ladies who attended were my daughter-in-law and her mother... two women I am very thankful to have in my family!

I CASED this card from the SCS gallery, and made a few changes.

THANKS, FRIEND

Just a quick card today.  I have to get my samples made for a workshop coming up. The colors aren't right (again); the background patterned paper is Sahara Sand, not that putrid grey.  If you click on it, the enlarged picture looks closer to the true colors.

I think the Bermuda Bay stamped image works well with the Sage Shadow DSP matted behind it.  Of course, it looks much better IRL!

This would make a great Father's Day or masculine birthday card, too, dontcha think?

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you all have a great week.  Don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack on my Stampin' Up! website.  There are some great deals to be had, and they won't last long!!!
