'Tis the season for giving thanks, and what better theme for our challenge this week at SUO Challenges than to make a card or gift to express your thankfulness. It can be a simple thank you for someone's kindness, or something to express your attitude of gratitude at Thanksgiving, your choice! Just be sure if you enter it at SUO Challenges that you use Stampin' Up! products only, and you haven't published it before our challenge started. Please. Amen!

Sympathy
Here is one of those difficult cards, for a friend who just lost her husband to brain cancer. *sigh* One would hope that the millions upon millions of $$ spent on research would have produced a cure by now.
Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers, French Foliage
Cardstock: River Rock textured, River Rock smooth, Basic Black
Ink: VersaMark, River Rock Classic
Accessories: Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Square Lattice embossing folder, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, matte black brads (non-SU)
I will be sequestered in my stamp cave today, trying to not dwell on Mom's surgery.

Gratitude
Today's card is going to a special lady who has been sharing her work load with me for the past week and a half, and for that I am truly grateful! The extra $$ is most appreciated. The greeting on this card is a wonderful reminder that we should count our blessings every day, not just on the holiday set aside for it. :-)
I brayered Daffodil Delight, More Mustard and Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla CS, then stamped the images using More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler. The postage cancellation was stamped with VersaMark on River Rock CS, heat embossed with gold EP, cut out and popped up on a dimensional. The background was stamped (by stamping off once) with River Rock ink on River Rock CS, then the extra "splats" were added using Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.
