Well, actually, we haven't but I couldn't resist breaking out some Penny Black stamps and coloring them. These cows just crack me up! Can't you just imagine them standing around, munching grass and gossiping?
Hmmmm, I think I've been away from my stamp cave for far too long.....now I'm imagining animals having conversations. LOL
Okay, I've got to get this posted and then assemble a couple more cards and get them up in the next few days. Come back again and see me soon!

... are just about my favorite fruit, along with peaches, blueberries, cherries, grapes, apples, plums, melons, anything citrus.......aw heck, let's just include everything except bananas! :)
So I was delighted when Flourishes released this stamp set, featuring STRAWBERRIES! They look so yummy, and are so yummy to color with my yummy Copic Sketch markers. *grin*
Purely by coincidence, this week's Copic Creations Challenge is Botanicals, and irony of ironies, the sponsor this week is Flourishes! You'd think they planned to get that stamp set in my hands just in time to play, lol.
As soon as I got m
y order from Flourishes (a few days ago), I stamped out three of these using Memento Tuxedo Black on Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock and went to town on 'em!!!
After it was colored, I cut it out with a Nestabilities Large Deckled Rectangles die, then edged it with Copic YG17.
I used the Copic markers on the strawberry charm, purchased from the Hobby House, UK. That is also where I found the Papermania Pearl Brads. The filigree flower is from Flourishes Finishing Touches.
After running the bottom half of the SU Very Vanilla cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, I added the red polka dot ribbon and "popped" the image using SU Stampin' Dimensionals for some depth. The card base is Stampin' Up! Real Red.
Copic colors used: Y0000, R14, R24, R27, R29, YG17, YG67, G20, W-1, W-3

My mother's husband just had major surgery on the spine in his neck (eight inch incision!), so I made this card for him. I wanted to use Spring-y colors, since Spring is right around the corner. The poor guy is really in a hurting place right now, so I hope this cheers him up a little.
The pale pink parchment background paper was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. That gorgeous Gladiolus (#1727) image is from Heart & Soul Rubber Stamp Company. They have amazing prices on their stamps, as well as very reasonable shipping. Plus, customer service was fantastic. I recommend checking them out! The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.
The corner embossing punch is made by Fiskars, and the pink Crystal Stickers Elements were from Sally.

You can click on any image for a close-up. This is the other set of 2 cards I made for Christmas. I just love that Polar Bear image from Stampin' Up! I got it on ebay, and I wish I knew what it was called, or the name of the set from which it came.
Anyhoo, those cute little bears were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers, and cut/embossed with a Nestabilities Curved Rectangles die. It was then matted on white cardstock and backed by Stampin' Up! Night of Navy cardstock.
The starry background paper was purcha
sed last year when I first got into card making. I don't know who the manufacturer is, but I do know I got it on sale at Joanne's. ;-)The snow beneath the bears is Twinklets Diamond Dust glitter. It's really sparkly, because it's made from ground glass! The picture really doesn't do it justice. I read about it on Bev's blog, called All the things I love. (BTW, I tested it by rubbing some between my fingers, and didn't get any shards stuck in me.)

In continuation of my vow to make at least four Christmas cards each month, here are two of my cards for February (nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?). I think this stamp is sooo funny, especially because every year my husband and I search for the perfect tree. Of course, there IS no such thing as a perfect tree, but we foolishly valiantly set out on our quest to find one every year. :-)
This stamp, from Eat Cake Graphics, is called (appropriately enough) Finding the Right Tree. It was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers, then matted on the metallic green paper. It looked kind of flat, so I whipped out the ol' Exacto and cut a couple of pine boughs to slip the image under. I think it gives a little more depth, though still not exactly what I wanted.I used the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls folder for the background and lightly brushed it with Stampin' Up! Handsome Hunter Classic ink, which was also used on the sentiment.

Today is my kid sister's birthday, so I wanted to make something sweet, yet funny. She never fails to remind me that I'm the older sister. (Keep in mind, this is the sister that had a heart attack last September. Smoking cigarettes is very ba
d for your health, dontcha know.) I hope she liked it. I can get my little digs in, too, heh heh!
This adorable Sugar Nellie image is called Daisy (Sugar Nellie stamps are available from Funky Kits). I can think of so many uses for this stamp! She was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.
The image was cut/embossed with the Nestabilities Labels One die. I used the next larger size to cut the brown mat, and the panel for inside the card. Don't you just love that inside sentiment? LOL That one comes from Hambo Stamps Fractured Funnies (where I also got a great one for Mother's Day, hehe!).

This is the first time I've participated in a Cute Card Thursday challenge, but I think it won't be the last! This week's challenge is Metallica - we're supposed to use something metal on the card.... charms, wire, eyelets, whatever! I've combined a heart charm and heart brads for the metallic look.

Yippeee! I was able to kill two birds (thanks, Shannon) accomplish two challenges in one shot! This card is for both the Splitcoast Stampers Challenge WT202 (Pattern Pizzaz), and the Whiff of Joy Challenge #15, Katharina's sketch (love that sketch, Katharina!).The SCS Pattern Pizzazz challenge was to take a pattern paper and dress it up with glitter, flocking, heat embossing or whatever, and make it special. Starting with some cardstock from the Die Cuts With a View Luxury Stack that was already pretty special with its pearlized finish, I added some heat embossed cupcakes (SU Chocolate Chip Craft ink) and colored in the cherries on each one.
The adorable little mouse image, called Henry Celebrating Mouse, is new from the Whiff of Joy Stamps Party Animal collection. He was so much fun to color!
He was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear EP, then colored with Copics. I added some Diamond Glaze on the chocolate sprinkles on the cupcake to highlight them a bit.

This year I am determined to make at least four Christmas cards per month,
between now and November. So far, so good! I made six of these and they went together pretty quickly, even the coloring. I love this image from Stampendous, called "Merry ChrisMoose". After stamping it and coloring it with Copics, I used the Nestabilities Labels Two die to cut and emboss the image, and the next larger die to cut the background mat. The paper with the silver sparkles was from a pack of hand made papers I bought at Costco a while back. I finally got to use it!The snowflake eyelet on the red ribbon is from Eyelet Outlet. I used JudiKinsDiamond Glaze on the ornaments hanging from the moose's antlers and a Stardust Gelly Roll glitter pen at the top of the ornaments.

I finally drove down to meet my friend Christine's new baby girl today. Well, she's four months old already, but still new! OMG, she is the sweetest little angel of a baby I have ever seen!!! She smiles and coos, snuggles into your neck when you hold her, and rarely cries, even when she gets her immunizations! AND she's slept through the night since day one!!! Christine knows, and appreciates, just how blessed she is.
So, I had to make a card and a little box for the gift I took. Thanks to the gift box class, the box was a piece of cake! I found that the sturdy glossy white paper used to back the SU Designer Series Paper packets was just the ticket for the bottom of the box. For the top, I needed something heavier than DSP, so I used Core'dinations for the top. Topped it all off with a strip of Old Olive cardstock and ribbon, then a medallion like the one I did before, only I colored the open flower with a pink Copic marker and added a pink rhinestone. Oh, and I edged the white oval with gold EP. ;-)

This card was made to participate in THREE challenges! The first is the Whiff of Joy Challenge which is the sketch I used for the card layout.
The second is the SCS color combo challenge CC187, which are the colors I used. The colors were Stampin' Up!'s Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss (or Old Olive - I used both). And the third challenge is from OCC's Bling on the BLING! challenge, which explains the rhinestones, gold EP and beads, LOL!
This card was a lot of fun to do, combining all the elements. The image (Whiff of Joy's "Willow With Hot Chocolate") was stamped in black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear EP, then colored with Copic markers. I added some Diamond Glaze over the mug to make it shiny, but I don't think it shows in the photo very well. I carefully cut out the image and fastened it to the Kiwi Kiss background with pop dots. Old Olive was used as a border, the edges inked with SU Pumpkin Pie Classic ink.
I used VersaMark ink to stamp the swirls on the three background panels, and heat embossed them with gold EP. The pattern paper is from SU's "Haiku" pack. Lots of yummy patterns/colors in that pack!!!
After fastening the three swirled panels to the pattern paper, I added the ribbon and threaded the beads on the gold chain which, very conveniently, fit on one prong of each of the brads. Ta-DA!!!
The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on Tangerine Tango CS, the edges inked in Pumpkin Pie ink. I dipped the edges of the Chocolate Chip background in VersaMark and heat embossed in gold EP.
After it was all assembled, I decided it needed a little more "bling", so I added the rhinestone flowers. And there you have it! So, what do you think? Please leave a comment!
