Twelfth Blogiversary!

Today marks TWELVE YEARS(!) that I've been blogging. It's been hit or miss for some of those twelve years, but lately I've been making a real effort to post more regularly. Didja notice? 😀

For the past 40 days in a row, I have posted something at least once a day. Forty-three posts in 40 days! That's got to be some kind of record for me. (But I'm not going back to check, lol.)

Today's card is from the absolutely gorgeous Boho Indigo Product Medley on page 9 of the annual catalog. You knew I was going to have to get it because, BLUE!

Stamp Review Crew - Free As A Bird

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2019/07/FAB.html

Welcome to the first Monday of the month... and another Stamp Review Crew hop! (How can it already be JULY?!) The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. Today we are featuring Free As A Bird, which was right at the top of my "must have" list! If you just came from Dawn Tidd's blog, Tiddbits From Dawn, you can continue on by clicking the "Next" button below. If you want to go back and admire Dawn's projects again, just click "Previous"!

Heart's Delight Cards, Free As A Bird, Bird Ballad, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Stampin' Up!, 2019-2020 Annual Catalog,

Free As a Bird is part of the Bird Ballad Suite found on page 91 of the 2019 Stampin' Up! annual catalog. It's a 12 piece red rubber cling stamp set, and can be bundled with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies for a 10% discount. The whole suite is simply lovely, from the trinket embellishments to the lace trim, to the absolutely beautiful Bird Ballad DSP, which is what I used on both cards!

Heart's Delight Cards, Free As A Bird, Bird Ballad, SRC - Free As A Bird, Stamp Review Crew, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Anniversary, Stampin' Up!, 2019-2020 Annual Catalog

This first card was made for a local stamping buddy of mine and her husband. I stamped the word "happy" from A Wish for Everything in Versamark ink on a Crumb Cake card base, then added a strip of Pretty Peacock DSP (Woven Threads).

The frame was made using the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders. After cutting the frame, I held it over various parts of the DSP to find the "picture" I wanted. So many sweet bird images, so hard to choose!

After gluing it to the back of the frame, it was adhered to the card with dimensionals. The greeting (also from A Wish for Everything) was stamped and then cut with Classic Label Punch. A bit of linen thread, colored with Pretty Peacock Light Stampin' Blend, for a bow and a few pearls completed the card.

The next card was also made for a local stamping buddy! I was so blessed to find new friends after we moved to Tennessee, who have the same addiction passion for all things stampy - we enable each other a lot, LOL!

A piece of Bird Ballad DSP was adhered to a Soft Suede mat, and then to a Whisper White mat before attaching it to the Petal Pink card base.

The bird was stamped in Memento ink and colored with Stampin' Blends, then cut with one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. A scrap of Soft Suede was cut with a smaller die and adhered to the back. After trimming off the left side of the image panel, some Mossy Meadow Linen Thread (Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack) was wrapped around, a double bow was added, and it was adhered to the card.

That's all from me today; I hope you found a little inspiration here. Up next is the fabulous Kelly Kent, over at My Papercraft Journey. I'm positive you will find inspiration there!

Happy Stampiversary to ME!

Eight years ago today, I took the plunge and became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I did it because I wanted the demo discount, and had every intention of being a hobby demo until I had acquired all the things I wanted. Who could have predicted that here I'd be, eight years later, a Silver Elite demonstrator with a growing stamping family?! Certainly not me!

I have enjoyed every minute of it, too. Not only because I get that demo discount (and who doesn't like a bargain, right?), but because of the lifelong friendships I've made along the way. People I never would have met, if it weren't for a shared love of stamps, ink, and cardstock! To me, that's the best part. Well that, and getting sneak peeks and preordering things before the general public, and going to Stampin' Up! events like Convention and OnStage. And earning FREE stuff. I like free; free is good!

Now is absolutely the best time to take the same plunge that I did eight years ago. The rewards are so....rewarding! If you've been thinking about placing an order that is close to $100, why not turn that into a starter kit? For $99 w/FREE shipping (free is good, remember?) you can choose $125 in Stampin' Up! products. That's it. THERE IS NO FURTHER OBLIGATION!

But wait, there's more! (Sound familiar? LOL) Act now and you will receive the FREE (still good) Essentials Gift Pack shown below, along with the Carols of Christmas stamp set, that no one else can get yet unless they're a demo. That's $72 in free products!

Essentials Gift Pack includes:
Carols of Christmas (Clear-mount)
$20

I really hope you will seriously consider what a great deal this is. If you have any questions or reservations you would like to discuss, please contact me. I am always available to chat! If you are ready to go for it, then I'd love it if you joined my stamping family!

The card above was made with this month's Paper Pumpkin kit - I just added the ribbon and a different greeting. Cute, no?!

Background Bits Meets Beautiful Bouquet

I attended a little stamping get together yesterday with my downline and her friend. We have such a happy, creative time together! We share our stamping goodies, especially the bundles, because that way we don't have to each buy everything in the catalog. At least that's what we tell ourselves, LOL.

She had the Background Bits host stamp set and the Beautiful Bouquet bundle, so I got to play with them. Somehow, I hadn't noticed the TWELVE awesome greetings in Beautiful Bouquet! How did I miss that?! I love that they are a combination of block and script fonts.

The floral image and miniature script background are from Background Bits. And the greeting is from Beautiful Bouquet. This is what it says on the inside:

Since tomorrow is the hubs' and my 42nd anniversary, I made this card to give him with his breakfast in the morning. The man really is a saint, putting up with my craziness for all these years! But then I guess you kind of have to be a little crazy to put up with crazy, right?
