Happy Friday!

Heart's Delight Cards, Lots of Lavender, Sale-A-Bration 2018, Hello Friend, Stampin' Up!

And it IS a very happy Friday for me! I am on my way to Atlanta for Stampin' Up! OnStage with two stamping buddies. We plan to have lots of inky fun, and there may be an adult beverage or two involved as well. Not during the Stampin' Up! event, of curse, but afterwards. I'd post pics of the shenanigans, but incriminating photos are not allowed, LOL!

Anyway, I'm having a hard time containing my excitement because not only are we having a girls getaway and meeting lots of other like-minded stampers, but we are going to get to see the NEW ANNUAL CATALOG! Be still, my heart!

My card today is one that I made for a friend who sews beautiful custom aprons. She made this one for me to send to my daughter. It is so her stye, and I can't wait until she gets it!

Going, Going, Gone!

Heart's Delight Cards, Lots of Lavender, Sale-A-Bration 2018, Stampin' Up!, Friendship,

There are only TWO days left for the 2018 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration! I can't believe how quickly it's gone by. As usual, there are a few stamp sets that I'm going to sad to see go. One of them is the Lots of Lavender set.

I've seen lots of cards with the lavender sprig, colored various ways (I've done a few myself), but I haven't seen very many cards with the rose garland. So I decided that would be the card du jour!

The image fits perfectly within the second largest Stitched Shapes Framelits circle, leaving room for a greeting. This one is from the March 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit, but a 'Happy Birthday' or 'Thank You' or even a 'Get Well' would work!

One of the other SB items that won't be available come April 1st is the gorgeous Springtime Foils Specialty DSP used here. I love that stuff, and made sure to grab an extra pack....you know, so when the paperpocalypse happens, I'll be prepared.

FYI, due the the overwhelming popularity of the Stampin' Blends, and supply problems not keeping up with demand, they have been made "unorderable" until about the end of May. That's when the new annual catalog will be getting ready to start, so fingers crossed they will be back in stock with NEW colors available, too!

Control Freaks Love Bouquets!

Oh yes, we do! And that's the theme of this month's Tour de Freaks - Beautiful Bouquets! Now that Spring is right around the corner and flowers are popping out everywhere, what better way to celebrate than with some pretty inky blossoms? Heart's Delight Cards, Blossoming Basket, Sale-A-Bration 2018

When I learned of the theme for this month, I immediately thought of the bouquet in the basket in Blossoming Basket. Remember, this s a Sale-A-Bration freebie you can get with a qualifying order. And, as of today, there are only twelve days left to get it!

After coloring the basket of flowers, I added some die cut leaves from the Bouquet Bunch Thinlits Dies. I really like the dimensional look it gives!

The silver lines on the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP dressed up the background, along with the basket weave embossed piece. I used some of the same DSP on the envelope flap for a classy look, as well. It's another SAB item you don't want to miss!

The inside sentiment is so perfect, because I am blessed many times by my friends, and they always put a smile on my face!!! And aren't those butterflies just the cutest?!

The Thinlits!!! Mr. Big and I are very happy to see the Thinlits added, as well as the embossing folders. I used the Petal Pair embossing folder and the Petals & More Thinlits on this card.

Aren't the birds adorable? They are in the Memories & More card pack that coordinates with this whole suite. I colored the roses and the heart between the birds with Stampin' Blends.

It's been a busy couple of weeks here. I finally came up with a design I liked for my OnStage swap cards, so I've been working on them. And, of course it involves coloring. Why do I do that to myself when I have to make eleventy billion of them? Well, okay, maybe not THAT many but still......

Oh, and on top of that it's getting to be time to get the garden ready for the new season. There were a lot of dead plants that needed to be removed, and the weeds are already popping up! Yesterday I got the first sowing of Sugar Snap peas and spinach planted. It felt so good to be outside in the sunshine! It wasn't even cold and windy - BONUS! Today we're supposed to have rain and possible thunder storms, so the only planting I'll be doing is starting some seeds in seedling trays.
