12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS IN JULY (Day 6)

Heart's Delight Cards, Poinsettia Petals, Poinsettia Dies, 2020 Aug-Dec Mini, Gold Cards & Envelopes, Stampin' Up!

After yesterday's rather elaborate card, I thought something super simple would be a nice change for today! And what could be simpler than using ready-to-go Gold Cards & Envelopes with some Poinsettia Place DSP?

After adding the DSP all you need to do is add a greeting, and maybe an embellishment (in this case a die cut), and it's good to go! Suuuuper simple, and easy to mass produce if you need multiples.

A Very Vanilla banner was used for the Garden Green stamped greeting, and gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock for the little poinsettia. There are two small poinsettia dies in the Poinsettia Dies set, so it only needed one trip through the die cut machine.

And here's a handy-dandy helpful hint: If you want to add a little dimension between the poinsettia layers, but a 1/16" thick Stampin' Dimensional is too much, just add 2 or 3 glue dots. They are just thick enough to give a little dimension with looking wonky!

Look at that shimmer! The Gold Cards & Envelopes are absolutely gorgeous. Not only are the cards embossed with a fancy gold border, but the envelopes are a rich shimmery dark gold. Seriously, the envelopes are so pretty I'm tempted to stamp and die cut one to see how it turns out! Measurements and instructions are below.

Remember, buy any bundle in August from the upcoming 2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog, which starts August 4th, and received a pre-cut, ready to stamp and assemble card kit (4 cards and envelopes) from me! The kit will include any dies cuts and embossed pieces, as well as embellishments needed to complete the cards. All you need is stamps, ink, and adhesives.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS IN JULY (Day 3)

Heart's Delight Cards, Poinsettia Petals, Poinsettia Dies, 2020 Aug-Dec Mini, Stampin' Up!, 12 Days of Christmas in July

Aren't poinsettias just the epitome of Christmas? It seems almost everyone has some on their porch or the fireplace mantle. And while red poinsettias are the most traditional color, I wanted to go with a non-traditional color for this card.

I have to tell you, as much as I positively adore Misty Moonlight (being a lover of all things blue), Just Jade is running a very close second. This was a fun card to make, because I got to color the flocked vellum poinsettia with a sponge dauber to make it the color I wanted. And just so you know, I didn't have to fussy cut it either. The Poinsettia Dies has a die that fits!

Keeping the design simple really makes the flower the focal point of the card, and adding gold accents really makes it POP! Measurements and instructions are below.
