CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Non-Traditional Fall Leaves

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is falling leaves with non-traditional colors. I think Petunia Pop, Flirty Flamingo, and Shy Shamrock qualify as non-traditional! I took a piece of Basic White cardstock and blended the three colors at an angle, then stamped the Etched Autumn leaves over it. The background colors pointed the way for me to fill in the leaves with Stampin' Blends. The Petunia and Flamingo blended so well....the Flamingo and Shamrock not so much, lol. But it still looks really neat!

The large frame from the Gallery Blooms Dies was used to cut the metallic paper, which was then embossed with the Gathering Leaves folder.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF888

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, and Misty Moonlight.

I'm feeling more and more Christmassy, as we are down to three months until Christmas Day. Trust me, those 90 days are going to FLY by! Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

Using Misty Moonlight ink, I stamped the background with Falling Snow, a cling stamp that will be retiring when Stampin' Up! makes the switch to all photopolymer stamps, so grab it while you can! I used Blending brushes to add the three inspiration colors to the background.

The Highland Heather and Misty Moonlight trees were die cut and stamped with their respective colors, and Misty Moonlight was used for the greetings. Another heads-up....the Iridescent Faceted Gems are discounted on the Last Chance List, available while supplies last.

Measurements

  • Card base: Basic White 4-1/4" x 11", scored/folded at 5-1/2"
  • First layer: Highland Heather 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Second layer: Misty Moonlight 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
  • Stamped background: Basic White 3-3/4" x 5"

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Fruit & Veggies

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is fruits and vegetables, and I was going to grab the Storybook Garden set, but it's retired. Not a lot of other choices in my collection, other than the pumpkins in Amber Autumn. (Did you know they are a fruit, botanically speaking? In the berry family!) 🤯

Okay, enough of the botany lesson for the day - I was able to get fruits and a vegetable on my card by using the Cheers & Sips bundle. A long time ago I really liked Tequila Sunrises, before I decided I like Margaritas better. I know I sound like a lush, but these days I only have a drink on special occasions, maybe 2-3 times a year. The other beverage is a Bloody (or could be Virgin) Mary, so I could use the celery garnish. I never really liked those...I much prefer tequila, lol.

The gold striped Old Olive background is in the Gathering Together Specialty DSP. I really like the way it adds a little glitz without having to add embellishments.
