New Team Member Welcome!
I absolutely love it when someone decides to take a chance on becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and all the opportunity that goes with it. It's even sweeter to me when it's someone I don't even know who chose me to be their upline! I feel very honored, and then wonder how the heck did they hear about me, and what made them choose ME?
No matter what drove their decision, I'm ecstatic to have more enthusiastic stampers on my stamping team, and as part of the welcome packet I send, I include a card, a welcome letter with basic info they need to know right away, and a color sample chart of current Stampin' Up! colors (note: this picture is an older chart).
A few years ago SU had a great business stamp set called Workshop Words, with stamps pertaining to many aspects of the business. One of them is this wonderful stamp! I will never part with this stamp set!!!
Even if you don't need a "welcome to the family" card, this card could be used for other occasions, and it features the All Abloom DSP Stack, that's part of the weekly deals this week!
STAMP: Petite Petals, Workshop Words (retired)

INK: Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi

More Swaps!
This is a card for a different swap that I sent off last week. I'm fairly certain everyone has received theirs, so it's okay for me to post it now!
It was fun spotlighting the "HOW" to give it extra emphasis. It was popped up on a dimensional, too, for even more emphasis. "You're HOW old?!" Heehee!!!
I have trouble using the chevron patterned paper, because it makes my eyeballs fall out, but I found if I toned it down with other patterned papers, it really wasn't so bad! This really was an easy card to make, since most of the components could be punched or cut with the Big Shot. No fussy-cutting, just stamp, punch, adhere. Easy-peasy!
Me, looking at chevron-patterned paper:

Petite Petals X 4
This was a quick, fun card that we made at the Occasions/Sale-A-Bration party last weekend:
But after the guests left, I wanted to make one that was a little bit fancier. I added rhinestones to the flowers, and that helped somewhat:
But I still thought it needed something "more", so then I added a mat behind the polka-dot DSP to make it pop, added some subtle blossoms on the white (after stamping off on scratch paper), and stamped the greeting in black. I think that helped a lot!
And then.......
I had to try that layout in a different color!
So, what do you think? I could have kept going with different colors and themes, but thought that was enough for now. I'll play around with that sketch again soon, I'm sure!
It is very easy to make layers for the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I started with the colored cardstock cut 2" x 3-3/4". The white cardstock is cut 1-7/8" x 3-5/8". Just make sure the white cardstock is centered in the punch when you punch it! (And use the sanding block to round the edges a bit.)
Stamps: Petite Petals, Yippee-Skippee!, Perfect Pennants
Cardstock: Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Basic Black
Accessories: Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Bermuda Bay 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Stampin' Sanding Block (to round corners at top of white cardstock), Stampin' Dimensionals
