CASEing the Master

One of the blogs I like to visit is Janine (JanTink) Tinklenberg's Stamps, Paper, Scissors.  She is soooo talented, and immensely humorous, to boot.  Todays' card is a pretty direct CASE of her card HERE.  I changed a few minor details, like stamping the Wise Men in Basic Black, and the star over Bethlehem in So Saffron.  Oh, and just a plain Marina Mist ribbon at the bottom......umm, and used a Not Quite Navy card base.  I guess I changed more than I realized. ;-)

This is one of the cards we'll be making at the Christmas Card Buffet (Session 1) next week.  There are still a few spaces left, if you would like to join us!  You can contact me by clicking on "My Stampin' Up! Website" on the upper right.

Pictures from the Party

I wanted to share a few pictures from the card party.  The three people you see in the two photos below had NEVER made cards before!  Isn't it wonderful that they were willing to take a chance on something new to them, just to support our deployed military members?

The pretty lady above is Sandra.  We worked together in the 2010 Census, and she's a hoot!  You can see that she is working on one of the card kits that I prepared last week.  Sandra, you did wonderfully well!  I guess she enjoyed it, because she said she'd like to do it again, woohoo!

This handsome couple is my sinister sister, Sherry, and her husband, Mike.  (Sherry and I joke about having an evil sister and a good sister......of course, we only have one sister!)

I was really impressed with Mike's ability to get everything lined up properly.  He even stamped the images!  THIS was the card kit he worked on.  Bless his heart, he had a long hard day at work, and still came to the card party.  Gotta love a veteran!
This was the card kit my sister worked on.  She was introduced to the Big Shot, and really had fun cranking out the embossed pieces.  She wants to make more cards, too!
