Hello

I used some more of my "useful bits" today and made this card to send to a blue friend. Well, she's not really blue, and I don't think she's feeling blue, but her favorite color is blue, so this seemed appropriate.

I had the greeting and flowers already stamped (with pearls added), and the background already embossed, so it was just a matter of adding the Ornate Layers die cut behind the flowers, a twine bow, and a mat behind the embossed background.

The flowers were stamped in Misty Moonlight (stamped off once), and those silver pearls in the Metallic Pearls sure look blue to me! They do match beautifully.

The Forever Blossoms stamp set and bundle are found on page 16 of the Mini catalog and are part of the gorgeous Parisian Blossoms Suite.

I wanted to make a sweet card for a wedding, and this suite (see what I did there?) is perfect!

My original idea was to cover the entire front with the Parisian Flourish embossed panel, but then I had the problem of the greeting kind of getting lost. I chopped off part so the Flirty Flamingo base showed and heat embossed the greeting in white.

But THEN it looked kind of ... choppy ... with a harsh edge. So I trimmed off a bit more and added a Delicate Lace die cut edge. That did the trick!

And, of course I had to emboss the envelope flap to match! I love the the Spring feel, and Punxutawney Phil predicts an early Spring this year, yay!

Merci Beaucoup!

Heart's Delight Cards, Parisian Beauty, Forever Blossoms, Thank You, Merci, 2020 Jan-June Mini Catalog, Stampin' Up!

I am so blessed! I have another local stamping friend who lets me play with her toys - the ones that I don't have. She has the Parisian Beauty stamp/die bundle, which is part of the entire Parisian Blossoms Suite Bundle. I have the other part, the Forever Blossoms stamp/die bundle, which coordinates so beautifully. So naturally, the first thing I did when I got home with the lovely bits that I had made was make a thank you card for her!

The Parisian Dies have a beautiful Eiffel Tower, so I cut several in Basic Black and Champagne & Copper Foil Sheets. I also cut the lovely swirly flourish and greetings in the same colors to add to my box of useful bits.

The only stamping was the flower branch, which was colored with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Combo Stampin' Blends. A few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (also part of the suite) were added for a bit of sparkle.
