Saturday Cute Halloween

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Cute Halloween" and this is the third card I made for my neighbor's great-grands. This one is for the youngest sister, who is four years old, and she's the cutest little sassy-pants. I wish this darn pandemic would end so we could have them all over for a cook out and I could give the girls a big hug!

On this card I made a Pumpkin Pie watercolor wash for the background and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D folder, then matted it on Pumpkin Pie before adhering it to the card base.

After heat-embossing the greeting, I used the Trio of Tags Dies to cut the jack-o-lanterns from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and glued them on the tag, then tied it with a Polka Dot Tulle ribbon. A Black Glitter Paper die cut was adhered before adding the black cat and tag, both on dimensionals. The eyes on the cat were made with the White Stampin' Chalk Marker. A few Pumpkin Pie rhinestones complete the card.

Spooky Cat Again

One more Halloween card, and I promise I'm done! This one also has very little stamping because the Spooky Night DSP has such great images! Only the greeting (from Labels to Love) was stamped and then colored with a Pumpkin Pie marker.

The cat was punched and the Jack-0-Lanterns were fussy-cut from the DSP, with one popped up.

I used the retired Spider Web embossing folder to add a little texture and black rhinestones to add some bling.

Stamp Review Crew - Spooky Cat

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew blog hop! The Stamp Review Crew is an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get together on the first and third Mondays of the month to inspire you with a featured stamp set, and this time we are featuring Spooky Cat!

http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=144749&dbwsdemoid=2054459

You probably just landed here from Mike's blog, Stampin'-Style. Weren't his projects awesome?! To continue the hop (forward or backward) just click the links at the bottom of each post.

One of the (very few) things I miss since moving to our farm, is the little ones coming to our door Trick or Treating, because now I don't have an excuse to buy too much candy, haha. So, I can make up for it by giving my friends a little treat instead! Some candy corn is always nice, but I think the pillow box could hold a few Hershey's Nuggets, too. I just didn't have any. *sad face*

The box was made with the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits die and some Window Sheet. The tag uses greetings from the stamp set, along with Spooky Night Designer Series Paper and some embellishments.

While the main focus of this set is Halloween, I wanted to show a way that it could be also used for other occasions, so up next is a Valentine! I thought the owl looked so sweet, not spooky at all, so he's hanging out on a branch to serenade you.

The greeting was stamped using the Labeler Alphabet set, which is soooo handy for custom greetings!

That's all the fun stuff I have to share today. Up next is Betty, over at Kitty Stamp. Gee, I wonder which stamp she's going to focus on? LOL!

Spooky Halloween

The black cat in the Spooky Night DSP was just begging to be let out so he could sit on a fence and yowl at the moon. So, who was I to deny him? Pumpkin doesn't get to go outside (too many predators), but I have no problem letting this guy out.

This was a quick card to make, since all the images were in the DSP! It was just a matter of punching, layering and gluing, and then adding the greeting.

The fence was so easy to build using the Classic Label Punch and Wood Textures DSP for the pickets. I wish real fences were this easy to build! We could sure use some good fencing around the homestead.

I added a little bit of Lemon Lime Twist to make the cat's eyes green. The Happy Halloween greeting in the Spooky Cat stamp set fit perfectly in the picket fence punch Classic Label Punch. *grin*

Catalog Sneak Peek Again!

Here's a peek at another stamp set from the new catalog, called Sitting Here. This is a great versatile set....I can see changing out the greeting and using it for birthdays, thank you, or like I did here for sympathy for losing a pet.

I had to laugh when I saw the pet bed/basket. Neither of my fur babies would use it. The cat might sit in it for a minute just to check it out, but then he'd hop up on me sitting in the chair. They think they're people, and belong right up there on the chair or couch with us. Spoiled much? Nah!
