For the next seven weeks the Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop themes will be CASING the Design Team. Our guidelines are to choose a card that was posted within the past year and, using the same layout and colors, remake it using products from the Sep-Dec Mini Catalog that starts Wednesday! I'm using the Merriest Trees bundle.
First up is Mary Brown and this is the card I'm casing. I was immediately drawn to this card because I LOVED the greens, and could see them being used on a Christmas-themed card.
Since I didn't have any appropriately colored DSP, I stamped the Granny Apple Green card base with the little stars included in the stamp set and added a Garden Green border above and below the embossed background.
After stamping and die cutting the trees, they were layered over one another, with the small center tree popped up on dimensionals. The greeting is also popped up. A few Star Trinkets which mimic the tiny stamped stars completed the card.
