Notebook for Bea

Actually, the notebook is for Bea (my dentist's office manager) to give to someone special. Connie has been a blessing in Bea's life, so she wanted to give her something unique and asked me to make a notebook like the one I made for her mother.

I remembered having some angel charms stashed away, and the message on the back was just perfect for this gift!

I think both the gift giver and the recipient are going to be pleased.  I hope so, anyway!

Big Shot Purse

I just had to hop on the bandwagon and make one of these splendid little shabby-chic purses!  It was so quick and easy, using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (#113439) and the Scallop Square Clear Bigz Die (#115950) to cut out the squares, that I'm thinking about Christmas presents already!  And not just purses for the women in my life.  I think I could put together a bunch of lap quilts in a jiffy.  The hardest part of the whole process, for me, was stitching a straight line diagonally from corner to opposing corner. ;-)

The die will cut EIGHT layers of quilt cotton at a time, so you can really mass produce lots of squares to sew together!

I wanted the purse to be black, white and turquoise, and while I was shopping for the fabric, I found the turquoise dragonfly print, and then found the perfect button for the clasp!  Too cute, huh?
You can order the tools you need to make this purse from me (except the fabric and sewing machine, of course) by clicking on the "Shop Now" Catalog on the upper right.  If you order a Big Shot and/or the Scallop Square Die from me, either through my business website or by contacting me directly, I will send detailed, illustrated instructions for making this purse.  Come one, you know you want to make it!
