Thursday Challenge - CCMC807

Spring is in the air - I'm feeling it! Even though I know winter will try to take another shot or two at us, I'm ready for new growth, flowers, planting my garden (not, yet, but I'm planning!) and warmer weather. With that in mind, I made a Spring-y card for this week's Thursday sketch challenge.

Today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration, and the Delightfully Eclectic 12 x 12 (48 sheets!) DSP used on this card is one of the items you can get with a $50 purchase. Yes, it is available in the annual catalog, but after SAB, it's going to cost you $30. Wouldn't you rather get it for free?

A 1/4" strip of Distressed Gold joins the DSP and Garden Green (on which I stamped the splatters with VersaMark). For the flower bouquet I pulled out a bundle I haven't used in a while - Quiet Meadow. After die cutting the flower sprigs from watercolor paper, I used a water painter and Melon Mambo, Bubble Bath, and Garden Green to add the color.

The white scalloped die cut (from Thoughtful Expressions) was embossed with the Basics 3D folder and adhered to the card, with the flowers and greeting popped up. A Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon bow ties the bouquet together.

CCM Saturday Hop - Great Outdoors

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is the great outdoors. We aren't supposed to use flowers, but that's okay, we still have everything else outside to choose from! Boy, that covers a lot of territory, haha.  Since the bluebirds have been busy raising their babies in our nest boxes (so much fun to watch!) I took that inspiration and ran with it.

I started by creating a background using sponge daubers to dab colors randomly on white cardstock. I was trying to give the illusion of trees and some blooming trees peeking through the die cut tree trunks. Granny Apple Green spatters were stamped over and it was adhered to the Coastal Cabana card base. The die cut tree trunks got popped up on mini dimensionals over it.

That Perched in a Tree stamp set features this chonky little fellow, who looks like he hasn't missed a meal at our feeders. 😂 He was stamped and colored with Stampin' Blends then die cut and popped up on more dimensionals after I adhered the branch and greeting.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCM Saturday Hop - BLING!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is to bring on the bling using our favorite NEW embellishments. I'm kind of partial to the new In Color Dots AND the Sheer Ribbon Combo pack, so I used both on this card!

I started by making a background using an Artistic Mix Decorative Mask, some Blending Brushes, and a Moody Mauve/Boho Blue combination. It was adhered to the Moody Mauve card base, and the Darling Details eyelet die was used to cut the Boho Blue cardstock. I used the eyelet die again on Basic White for the center greeting panel (saving the frame for later!) and matted the frame and center on Moody Mauve.

After stamping and die cutting the flowers, they were popped up on mini dimensionals and the dots were added. After the card was assembled, I felt like it needed more bling (big surprise, huh?) so I used the Light Moody Mauve Stampin' Blend to color the Bubble Bath sheer ribbon to match. I think the silver thread edges added the perfect amount of eye-catching shine!0

Planting a Garden with the Control Freaks

The Freaky theme this month is Plant a Garden, using any flowers or plants. It should be fun to see everyone's "green thumbs" this month.  If you landed here from Melissa's blog, welcome! There are five of us gardening today.

You just know I had to go with flowers, didn't you? This theme gave me the opportunity to ink up the new Darling Details set, and play with the awesome dies that coordinate. I love eyelet lace, and these frame dies make the perfect delicate surrounding on a card.

I went with bold colors for the first card, using Berry Burst and Calypso Coral as the main colors. 😮 This is a little out of my comfort zone, but I like the way it turned out!

The background is Bright & Beautiful 6x6 DSP, the Happy Birthday is from Biggest Wish, and I added a few 2023-2025 In Color Dots to bling it up a bit.

The second card was easy-peasy since the only stamping involved was the greeting (Copper Clay). The beautiful daisies pattern is found in the Fresh as a Daisy DSP pack.

The DSP was framed with the large eyelet frame and adhered to a Copper Clay card base to match the daisy centers. I unraveled some Boho Blue Textured Ribbon and used just a few threads to make the bow. I thought the daisies needed something more delicate. The greeting tag is from the Nested Essentials Dies.

CCM Saturday Hop - Designer Paper Lovers

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is our favorite NEW Designer Paper. Right away I knew the Bright & Beautiful DSP was going to be one of my favorites because of all the bright and beautiful colors!

And, oddly enough, I chose the softer colors for this card. Go figure, LOL. One of my new favorite colors is Bubble Bath, so I chose the patterns with Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia.

And you have to admit, a leopard in a tutu is too too cute! This would be a perfect birthday card for a little ballerina, don't you think?

Stamp Review Crew - Brewed for You

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's BREWED FOR YOU edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Jay's blog, Mitosu Crafts, welcome! There are four of us today.

Brewed For You is a 13 piece photopolymer stamp set with a coordinating 14 piece die set. Fortunately they are carrying over to the new annual catalog that starts tomorrow (yippee!), but unfortunately today is the last day you can bundle them and save 10%! Starting tomorrow they will only be available separately.

The background on the first card was brushed on with Pecan Pie (a new color) and a Split Card Textures die cut was added on top. That die set is retiring and won't be available after today!

The glass and mug were stamped in Pebbled Path (a new In Color) then "filled" with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.

The addition of a Chic dies grid cut in gold foil added some more texture behind the brews.

The second card uses lots of textures and some new Subtles DSP. The beer background is Pool Party, die cut with a stitched rectangle die (ALSO RETIRING TOMORROW!) and embossed with the Metal Plate 3D folder.

The three brewskis were stamped in Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and the new Pecan Pie. I'm thinking that nutty ale on the end might be tasty, LOL.

The Basic White background was embossed with one of the Basics 3D folders. That was the only layer that wasn't die cut in some way. I still can't believe Stitched Rectangles Dies will be gone tomorrow. 😢 I see that they are marked down, so today is your last chance to get them.

That's all I have to share, so click "Next" to see what Holly The Rubber Redneck created, or "Previous" to visit Jay again. Thanks for stopping by!

NOTE: I can't link to all the products used until they go live tomorrow, so only current product is listed for now.
