CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Summer Fun Time

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is summer fun times. Now that I'm many decades past the freedom of a full three months with no school, and no work, I look back fondly on the summers we spent at the beach when we lived in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA. Daddy was career Navy, so we were always near a coast.

I remember the lighthouse on Assateague Island, home of the ponies (Misty of Chincoteague was my favorite book back then), so it inspired my card today.

After die cutting the lighthouse from Basic White, I used the Stylish Shapes circle die to cut it out, then colored it with Stampin' Blends. Some sparkle was added to the sand with Golden Glow Shimmer brush spatters. It's really subtle, and hard to see in the photos.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.
