Stamp Review Crew - Enduring Beauty

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Enduring Beauty edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Jay's blog, welcome! There are seven of us today.

Enduring Beauty really took my fancy because not only is it a beautiful stamp set on its own, but it has matching dies AND decorative masks to make coloring a breeze! And it's being carried over to the new annual catalog, yippee!

I have two cards to share today. This first one revives the old Spotlight technique. I love how the background looks like an old black and white picture, but the strip is in bold color.

The blossoms were colored with Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends. I'll be sorry to see that In Color is retiring the end of this month. It's such a pretty red.

The second card is a soft feminine card in shades of Berry Burst and Bubble Bath. I thought a lacy-looking background would be nice, so I used the Distressed Tile 3D folder on the Deckled Rectangle cut cardstock.

A few pieces of Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon and silver Simply Elegant Trim peek out from behind the blossoms. Sadly, both of those embellishments are retiring, too.

I did cheat a little and used greetings from Go To Greetings (also retiring) on both cards, because I needed those sentiments for the people I plan to send these to.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Kim created, or "Previous" to visit Jay again. Thanks for stopping by!
